We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_47035.gif

Is it not just a general theme to right off the whole of the Saints squad???

I think the fact that he bottled it against Karl Pryce, the biggest player with the smallest heart in rugby, was fair proof.

Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill):d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_40218.jpg

Nah. It was your interpretation of events and that was ALL it was.

I certainly don't think he bottled it. He's shown incredible bravery on many occasions when catching the high ball and when tackling to convince me beyond a shadow of any doubt at all that he's as courageous player as the likes of Roby and Makinson.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled. For 27 - 0 you get a trophy For 75 - 0 you get sod all. Wigan had eight in a row Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg

How many tries have been scored against him why he has been at Hull? Certainly Charnley scored three against him in the game at Wigan.

Well, I've just been on the Superleague webiste to check and its slightly unreliable in regards the order it lists the various numbers 2 and 5 and who shoud actually be played opposite each other.

Charnley got 3 and Flynn got 1. That's all I know definately went down Foster's side.
If you look at the other matches, there are other no tries scored by Jamie's opposite (assuming 2 face 5).
So, 5 matches, 27 tries scored against Hull, 4 scored by Jamie's opposite number. Given that wingers generally tend to score more than any other position, I'd say that is not a damning stat at all, especially given some woeful Hull performances against Wigan and Widnes.

I dont think most people on here there are just a few exceptios that are righting off the Saints squad for this year.

These are the players I would keep from this years squad

Soliola
Hohaia (but only if he is installed as full back for 2013)
Lomax
Perry
Roby
LMS
Puletua
Wilkin
Laffranchi (as a back row forward)
Flanagan
Clough
Wheeler
Magennis
Dixon
Gaskell
Makinson
Foster
Ashe
Forster
Josh Jones

Moving on: Flannery, Shenton

Wellens, Gardner, Meli great servants to the club but now is the time to look to the future.

Quote: SaintsFan "Coincidentally, his debut stint - under Potter - was playing on the right side and outside one of the best centres in the business. A winger is very dependent on his centre. Also, Foster has subsequently played on the left side, which may not be as good for him as the right. But other than that I think his confidence has taken a real knock, made worse by being permanently dropped from the one team he wanted to play for. Had Rush had a modicum of sense concerning young people he would have realised that expressing faith in them is often the way forward. Even if he'd been played for a couple of games and then rested for a couple, that might have been a ton better for his self worth than being dumped into oblivion and then shipped out to the furthest extremities of the known universe.'"

Do me a favour, make that point on the Hull board next time there's an appropriate thread. I've been making the point for ages about our right wing problem and the fact that they're playing outside of Turner and 1 or 2 don't seem to get what I'm saying. Incidentally, Foster's best performance for us was in his first game once he was playing outside Whiting. Even in that game he had a shaky start but got better though, and 'coincidentally' Turner went off after about 20 minutes.

Just look at Sharp and Martin as an example, Sharp was vastly improved from last year this season with a decent centre inside him, Turner is just plain awful

Jamie Foster did rather better tonight than on his previous visit to Bradford. 26 points by my count, a brace of tries and 9 goals.

He's a better winger than Tom Makinson. Just why on earth is he at Hull?

Jamie looked like his old self under the high ball tonight. I think that mauling of Bradford will have overcome all his demons.

If Foster can put the jitters behind him for good then I'd have him back in the Saints side tomorrow - he's certainly a better winger than Makinson has shown himself as being to date. It'll take more than a few good outings for Hull against whiopping boys to completely convince me yet though.

Blalocks.
He's a better goal kicker, yes, a better winger no. Did Foster manage to run a metre forward tonight when returning the ball?

Having watched him at Hull over the last month or so I would agree this is one area of his game that needs improvement. However the kid is one hell of a finisher and almost every opportunity he gets he somehow manages to score (speaking in terms of playing for Hull rather then Saints). I am not usually one for taking on loan signings, too skeptical about them but i would be happy if every loan signing came with the commitment and skill of Foster.

He hasn't disgraced himself under the high ball either.

...and when was the last time you saw Makinson causing a defender any problems at all running a ball up exactly? Foster on the top of his game is a much more natural winger than we've ever seen Makinson be to date.
