| Leon Pryce is high on the Bulls’ wanted list as their off-season shopping spree shows no sign of slowing.
The Telegraph & Argus understands Pryce has been targeted for a potential return to his hometown club as they aim to bounce back from two seasons of on-field failure.
Sources close to the player have previously indicated the St Helens stand-off would be keen to return to Odsal at some point but it is believed that possibility is now stronger than ever.
Although the 28-year-old Bulls academy product has one year left on his current deal at Knowsley Road, Saints could be willing to let him go due to the emergence of talented youngsters Jonny Lomax and Gary Wheeler and the arrival of a new coach in Royce Simmons.

So where in this article has Pryce said he wants to leave Saints?

Do you really not understand? Or are you just being argumentative for the sake of it.?
There is no quote from Leon Pryce in that article. There is no proof that he has said anything about being keen to return to Bradford. The bloke who has written the article has said that, not Leon Pryce. Do you really believe everything you read in the papers? This really isn't difficult to understand mate.
As for the Red Giraffe, not that I should have to justify this to you, but I am sure that if any mod can be d then they can confirm that the ip addresses for me and t'other giraffe are about 200 miles apart.

| Leon pryce went public at the start of the year and said he loves playing for saints and would like to finish his career at saints but hadn't been offered a contract yet.
Saints have gone public and said Leon will have to earn a new deal when he returns which IMO is common sense.
I spoke to Leon after a game at saints last year ( think it was a playoff game) and he said he loves playing for saints and couldn't imagine playing anywhere else.
I think he wants to stay, I think he would 100% sign but we will not offer him a deal and do it on the cheap and give Gaskell the number 6 and tell everyone we going with youth.

Okay, I'm still waiting for a direct quote from Leon Pryce saying he wants to leave though?
Do you understand the meaning of the word quote? A quote is a direct comment from a person, therefore it will need to be Leon Pryce saying he wants to play at Bradford / leave Saints. Not a journalist making up some utter tosh.

| Did anyone hear Leon's commentary on Wish FM today v Wakefield? Alongside the consummate media professional Wellens, chalk and cheese it was fantastic. No political correctness, no subtlety, no pandering, just about as straight talking as I've ever heard. It was refreshing to hear on radio "To be honest I thought the two points where in the bag before kick off". He wasn't giving any benefit of doubt to Wakefield either, possibly disrespectful at times, but on the other hand he was just being honest. If anyone can remember quotes that would be helpful.

I really enjoyed listening to those two and the WishFM bloke was good too. It was a refreshing change from Murkeyside!
I thought they were both honest without being disrespectful: that we played poorly, that Simmons was not going to be happy with the ball retention, especially as it is something they had been working on all week, and that Wakey, while working hard, were in a different class - which is simply as it is. Although from the way we played it was hard to appreciate that!
Pryce also mentioned how Wilkin was following the instructions of his coach, the clear implication being that others weren't!

Absolutely brilliant by Leon. His evil genius laugh in the background as Meli went in for his try in the second half was priceless.

I agree. That made me laugh out loud!
He also said post match on Murkeyside that if he's cleared to play next week he would be happy to play anywhere as he doesn't want to disrupt the team, which I thought showed a good team spirit.

He really does seem like he wants to stay at Saints from everything I've seen and heard. He's got a brilliant relationship with the other players according to a couple of people I know. If he has a good few weeks I wouldn't be surprised to see a 1 year deal, after all the contract negotiations are on hold until he proves his worth.
I'm praying he doesn't get injured again, if Meli is out I think we may see him at FB with Eastmond playing in the centres?
Edit: Leon could slot in at centre, he has the necessary attributes and it would cause minimal disruption?

Here's hoping on all fronts.
Quote: BackrowSaint "I'm praying he doesn't get injured again, if Meli is out I think we may see him at FB with Eastmond playing in the centres?
Edit
I think your edit is spot on. We will need centre cover and if he's willing and able to play there then slotting him in would cause minimum disruption. Eastmond could stay at fullback if Wello isn't fit. If he is fit then Eastmond could be flying around the park at loose? Or a kind of loose, since I know TP is officially loose. He could take on a more Wilkin kind of role, is what I'm thinking. Have I just invented a position?
Where we will seriously struggle is up front. We have to bring in an u20s prop or something because we can't function against the big blokes of the Dragons without some beef up front. With both Clough and Perry missing, we will seriously struggle.

Edit
Pryce won't sign a 1 year deal. It's prob his last big contract. Other teams will offer him at least two years and I'd expect the bulls to offer him three years.
I think he might sign a two year deal at saints if we offer him one.
