If I was a Saints player I'd be wondering why I put my body on the line every week for such a bunch of ungrateful & ignorant "fans"

if we cant beat huddersfield reserves then theyd be as well calling it a day

but then I would look at my payslip at the end of the week, count the zeroes, look at the statement for my offshore account, consider myself very lucky when the bloke on the terrace may only earn £20k a year, and think, yes, thats why I put my body on the line.

or maybe even think, wow how lucky I am to achieve a boyhood dream and play the game I love, for the team I love, where most people would give their right arm to do the same.

I still maintain that, whatever your opinion on the booing, it is the paying customers entitlement to react how they wish to the level of performance.

Quite right but it doesn't detract from the fact that they are booing because of their own ignorance and lack of understanding of the bigger picture

They don't know how to articulate their displeasure properly so they make a monosyllabic noise

Mate I don't particularly disagree with you, but playing devil's advocate for a minute, how else are they supposed to articulate their displeasure? Supporters don't really have a great deal of options available to them in this regard...clearly a lacklustre performance doesn't merit a sit-in protest or a march!
