In your opinion, was Meli at fault?

So the player with number 12 Wilkin written on his back doesnt shoot out of the line ? He does he can see they are weak on that side and he shoots out but misses,Jones is up and in and Meli doesnt have a choice where to stand,if he stays out there is a massive gap,if he stays in there is a gap.Credit Briers for fooling the defence by taking a step the otherway before changing the direction of the play.

I was surprised he was picked, but with the loss of Puletua they wanted Soliola's weight in the pack and thought that bringing him in would cause less disruption than moving Meli and bringing Makinson or Foster in. We won handsomely and he didn't look out of his depth. The decision was the right one.

Not in the move I watched on Sky during the rugby league match between Warrington and St Helens that took place on Friday night, no. However, the line didn't slide. That is actually what happened.

Meli will always give at least one try away and time will tell as to whether he maintains this sudden enthusiasm for taking the ball forward instead of passing it to the skinniest guy on the field to get squashed. I'm surprised Leeds didn't aim straight for Meli just as they did in the GF. They would have had a lot of joy, as indeed would Warrington (had they actually been able to string an attacking play together without being so amazingly dumb). So basically like i said its not Meli's fault,you said it was and you again say he will give a try away but the fact is he didnt.I know the line didnt slide and why didnt it slide ? because a player shot out ( and in fairness given the overlap they had he had to ) and the centre went up and in. I do wonder at times what you see or at least what you think you see and ive come to the conclusion that just like an experienced pro will see things that i dont see or quicker than i see them,people who have played the game will see things you dont see or read them a different way to you.

The loss of Royce Simmons has clearly tipped 'Saintsfan' over the edge.

SaintsFan, surely you can see you are fighting a losing battle? The decision to sack Royce was the right one and the try wasn't Meli's fault.

We don't know yet whether sacking Royce was the right decision. We have played all of two matches, both of which motivate this team regardless of who is in charge. The third such match is on Good Friday, although I suspect Wigan won't be offloading into our arms as Warrington did so often.

Thirdly, Meli was at fault for that try. Given another time and another set of coaching staff you and the rest of creation would have agreed with me. However, because you are collectively drooling over the most inexperienced coaching team we have ever had in charge, you and others are now thinking the sun shines out of Meli's backside. The fact that it's been two games is irrelevant. So is the fact we've won those games. It was the right call purely because we weren't headed in the right direction under Royce and we certainly weren't improving. If we'd lost 81-0 to Leeds and Warrington it would still have been the right decision.
