Not very , The Guy has kept the club in existence for God knows how many Years , Put in loads of his own money , I think Mr McManus deserves far more than a road naming after him, freedom of St Helens possibly? , and quite frankly your negativity over EVERYTHING , to do with the stadium is getting tedious in the extreme, Its an amazing achievement and i think the vast majority of fans, at least the ones i`ve met walking around the place cant wait to get in there and make it ours, but maybe you can sit outside and complain about something, maybe the grey isnt the right shade or possibly the stadium is a bit too far to the left !!

Maybe Mr McManus didn't know anything about it?

I think it's great that his name goes on the driveway! Without him neither the new stadium nor the club would exist today. This is the least that should be done in recognition of the input he has had to Saints. And if the stadium does take off as a local venue - which I sincerely hope it does - then he could also have a significant input into bringing something positive to the town as a whole.

It's looking seriously like the new stadium name is Langtree Park. If it is then that is great. Classy name.

Then apologies for that , it just seems like every time we get some good news about the Stadium or the club somebody has a pop , gets very tedious as I say , we are finally in the home stretch ready to start a new era , we need to be upbeat about the future , so again sorry for maligning you

It's a shame in a way that you're getting (or you appear to be getting) a sponsor from day one, as generally, whatever the stadium is called first is the name that sticks.

For instance, most people still call the DW stadium, the JJB. Even though this is the name that is now used on all official documents, in the media and in the press. Similarly, I can't imagine anyone habitually calling the City of Manchester Stadium, "The Etihad" anytime soon.

Therefore, wouldn't it be great if, just for one year or maybe two, the St Helens directors would stop thinking of their wallets and hold off getting a sponsor, giving the stadium a proper name and THEN getting a sponsor in a couple of years. That would give the fans the opportunity to have a proper 'home' name for them to use, but of course the media etc would still be obliged to use the corporate name, thus still getting full sponsorship value from it.

Langtree Park is the name of the site as well, so it would have been no different.

Considering the stadium name was always likely to be dictated by sponsorship I think you've got a cracking name tbh. Can't wait for the first game

Most Saints fans who have expressed a preference have said its a pretty classy name I havent heard anyone say they didnt like it

I don't particularly like it. It's not causing me to go into rage but it's a pretty nondescript and unimaginative which is a shame. Still it is a minor issue and one that won't impact upon our majesty.

That's if the name we see is all there is to it. There may be something else to come.
