I've never been sure about the wisdom of resting players to save them for the week after. I think they'd rather play especially when they're in good form rather than be sat with their feet up in the stands. It's best to keep the momentum up imo.

I don't think we're in a position to throw any games between now and the end of the season. Wire certainly won't be fielding a weakened team against Cas, as one more loss would seriously hurt their chances of making the playoffs. It's a dogfight from here on.

I wouldn,t rest anybody just yet, we might get a soft game if KR rest some of there players. There might be a few dead rubber games towards the end of the 8's could be the best time to rest players when this evoves.
Would like the Wire to beat Cas next week, if they don't then Cas get a stronger postion giving 5 teams for the last 4 qualification.

We often lose to HKR. I don't think now is the time for resting swathes of players.

Pretty pointless game for us, finishing 9th or 10th makes little difference. We'll be putting out a team of young kids and players that need to prove themselves for the week after.

Sounds a good idea for KR to do that. But will they? It would take a brave coach these days to field a weakened side deliberately when it's on Sky.

A Hull KR fan was telling me the other week that they struggle to find 17 or 18 fit enough players to make a team. Never mind finding others to give them a rest.

It'd take a braver coach to risk Albert in a meaningless game. Don't think you'll find too many KR fans who care about this game.

But do you have players to come in? The side that lost at Wigan was the same players that win games for you. Do you have academy players to come in? I thought the state of your academy was one of the main reasons behind the merger with Hull FC?

Our injuries are pretty limitted now, Campese and Allgood are the only ones not available as far as I know (less the early retirees / no shows)

We went in the Wigan game with 9 out if I remember rightly and lost a couple in the warm up. Our depth isn't great but we have some to throw in. If we get done by 80 it matters little. Reckon 2 men and a dog will turn up to watch from our lot.
