| Jon Wilkin and James Roby were superb for us today. Wilkin in particular was superb backing up from Friday. He's been our best player for the last 5 or 6 weeks IMO.

| Jon Wilkin was fantastic. In fact, all the players backing up were excellent I thought. I don't agree about Roby though. Overall I thought we were poor really, even bearing in mind the conditions. We couldn't keep hold of the ball when it mattered, we took some daft decisions, tried to play wide when we needed to push forward with ball in hand because it was tippling it down. Kyle Eastmond did score a try though; no way should that have been disallowed. And it was good to see him ranting at the ref again. I think he's rediscovered his fire. Good on Jamie to hold his nerve and win yet another point for us.

| James Roby was excellent. He created both our tries, tackled everything and made yards all with a fractured cheekbone!

| The 2 big questions are how sore will our forwards be next week?
When will Saints put on sale the new instyle Soliola head gear for the fans to buy?

He kept passing the ball out when he should have been taking it forward. He kept running out of the blind side of the scrum, didn't bother varying it, just did the same thing each time like a machine. Didn't it occur to him that they might figure what his move might be? I found that really frustrating. He also made two errors that cost us field position. Normally he has a great game (except for that stupid blind side move) but while I couldn't doubt his effort, he wasn't on the ball tonight. But he wasn't alone either.

| I thought Scarsbrook was brilliant tonight too, always going forward and stealing extra metres where he could.
Perry on the other hand.

Scarsbrook was 50/50 for me, what he did was good, but also what he did was give away a few soft penalties. Diskin had a field day with him at one point.

| He played 70, but should have been 60 as he should have been in the bin for the shot on Herbert. He did have a great game for you lot today though.
Makinson looks like a good prospect too - obviously not the best game to jusge a winger on but he finished well for his try.

| Perry was garbage tonight, but I'm pretty certain he won't of experienced many games like that in his career. He came over from sunny Australia and hasn't got much game time under his belt, certainly not in those conditions. I'm willing to give Perry a bye under those circumstances.

| Perry was fine. He's just a tackler, he doesn't offer much going forward.

He hit him at the exact same time he kicked it. Don't talk such nonsense.

| I'm glad Wilkin has been getting a big rap, he was terrific. I'm pretty sure he played the full game Friday and over 70 yesterday, brilliant effort just to play that length of time but both his performances stood out.

| Wilkin was brilliant, Perry was awful - he was getting smashed ball in hand. Very disappointing in a game he was very fresh for.

I agree. I was actually getting annoyed with him last night. We needed him to put in the effort and he did not. Makinson made more yards than he did! (or so it seemed anyway!) I shouted at the TV when he dropped the ball close to our line following that beautiful piece of kicking skill by Jamie Foster. What a fookin waste of a lovely play and great field position.
