Fitting Finale to Knowsley Road, we will be expecting a really tough game.

am i right in saying we are the 2 form teams at the moment having both won our last 7 games?

and in our last 7 games they include wins away at warrington and wigan so for me that sets up a really good tie here at knowsly road and one of which i am proud to say i will be there win or lose!!!

Promises to be a cracker. Saints will be favourites because of home advantage and the 'end of an era' stuff, but I can see there being nothing in it on the day.

Great post, used to visit Fartown with Saints many years ago, Lionel Cooper what a player, Ramsdale 1953 and all that!!
What a wonderful finale, the Town where League was born, bringing down the curtain where so many great players have graced the pitch.

Shame we cant have one more battle at the old ground, but meeting you lot in Manchester would be great and really start the signal the return of the greatest derby in RL after years of us decided we wanted to play mid table rugby league

i remember my first visit to knowsley road in 1992 regal trophy, we were a decent 2nd division side but had absolutely no chance of beating saints but we came anyway and did ourselves proud "only" losing 44-12(iirc) but it was a fantastic night and one us fartowners could only dream of, to think then that 18 years later we would be going to knowsley road for the last time,ever,for any of us,for a plac e in the grand final would have seen you locked up in a straightjacket! but it's going to happen and i can't wait to be a part of it, i've seen far too many wallopings over the last 12 or so years so would you do us the honour of letting us win for once in most of our lifetimes
seriously,it will be an emotional night all round, not just for the saints fans but for us long suffering fartown fans who were there on that rainy night in 1992.im sure both sets of supporters will have the old girl rocking one last time!!

At the end of the day having Huddersfield to help us bring down the curtain at Knowsley Road is a fitting tribute to the old girl. Huddersfield is the birthplace of where our game was born and for them to be present on such an occasion as the last competetive first team game is right and proper. It couldn't have worked out better in my eyes.

Knowsley Road is an iconic ground, but if Hull KR would have come, they could have demolished it for free...

The final elimination semi is a great way for KR to end life. I am already choking up after reading the posts already on here. Maybe the Giants fans do not have the quantity of supporters they would like but they certainly possess some quality.

Win or lose on Friday there will be a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat when I leave the stadium tomorrow after the game. May the best team win and lets hope its a terrific game.
