| Im hoping Warrington's pack will be too much for Leeds, without Peacock and Burgess.
I hope Warrington win, come on Wire!

| I would prefer a team from the west side of the pennines so that would be Warrington for me. Would like it to be a high speed, high intensity, energy sapping game though so that it would mean Warrington struggling at Harlequins the following week.

| I'm going for a draw today at wembley......32-32...then a replay at Bramall Lane, Sheffield which will be 18-18 at full time and then Brent Webb will drop a golden point drop goal to win it for the Whinos......both teams will be nacked for the play offs due to fatigue and injuries resulting in Harlequins beating the Wire 32 -24 in the final league game....which will then see St Helens making it through to Old Trafford to play Wigan in the Grand Final which will result in St Helens being triumphant 38-16!!!

| I just hope that the first score of the final is a drop goal. 150/1 !! With Briers on the park you never know and he might have a few bob on it himself !! Just hope he is a bit smarter than longy and gets someone else to put it on.

| I wouldn't have predicted that Sinfield would have a cock of a game!
Leeds lack of forwards has killed them no matter how their fans want to paint it, no Peacock and Burgess has battered them.
The third try was dodgy but Bailey 10m out and only Mathers in front of him could have made things so so different...

| Should have been a white-wash in fairness. How the officials can not have seen that pass as forward I'll never know.

So was I. I think it should have been Mathers.
Leeds were totally taken to the cleaners today. It was so good to see!

I thought it was well deserved and IMO Briers is a better player now at the end of his career than he was a few years ago when everybody was talking him up for the GB side. In the old days everyone used to rave about him because they'd see the moments of brilliance he produced but his game could be up and down. Remember that World Cup semi against the Aussies which went down in legend as Briers 'destroying the Aussies' basically because he kicked two long range drop goals, and had minimal influence on the rest of the game in fact I don't think he touched the ball in the second half hence the Aussies coming back and thrashing them.
Compare that with today when he was calm and ruthlessly clinical with his boot setting up tries and all round organising the play. These days he is a great organiser like Goulding was and he has IMO the best kicking game in SL. The same thing happened with Sean Long as well, in his early days he had blistering speed and would run off Tommy Martyn and go through gaps like Jonathan Davies did and score shedloads of tries, those were the days when he caught the eye as an individual most. But after that bad injury he got in 2001 he was never quite as quick again, but I thought it was after that that he developed into the best part of his career, every time Saints had a big game Long just knew what needed to be done and made sure the game was controlled. That for me is what a halfback should be there for, not to produce one or two moments of magic, but to pull the strings and take a team around the park, its the best way to settle nerves on the big occasion. Briers has had two big finals now and he's done the job perfectly in both....since Smith has been Wire coach an ageing Briers has played the most influential rugby of his career.

| Very good display by Wire -
Out muscled them in the pack
Briers distributed and kicked well
Very committed defence in both the first line and scrambling back
Pressured Sinfield well on the last tackle
