Saints didn't play well. Booing like that before the end of your first game doesn't look good though,especially on TV. I wonder if the people who cheered when saints scored were the same ones who had been booing earlier? If so what the hell's that about?

I didn't boo personally, but that was a terrible performance, so it didn't come as a surprise.

Nine consecutive games now in which Saints have failed to score more than 15 points. The lack of pace in an ageing side has to be a major concern.

Well, that's what Saints fans are like. It's nothing new. We booed in the 1980s, which is probably the last time we saw the kind of rubbish from Saints that we watched tonight. It's like having a conversation: we disapprove of something, we boo; we approve of something, we cheer. That's just the way we are. I think that's fair enough. Why should a lot of well paid players have only the cheers? If they play total then they deserve boos. We were standing there, freezing our bits off, struggling to see anything at all (and in some ways thank God we couldn't see much!), so why should they be supported when they couldn't even string a catch and pass together successfully?

Longy was great. It's always a joy to watch him play well.

What total rubbish. We don't have an ageing side. Hull had more 30+ players in their side than we did. We had three young, inexperienced players out there tonight plus a bunch of prima donnas and a fullback who has forgotten how to catch since I saw us play Fax a fortnight ago.

Many of those players you booed tonight have given their all for st helen's over the years. I feel really sorry for the likes of Graham, roby etc. i also feel for
micky potter as he's only been in charge for a relatively short amount of time.
