If we were to win the Grand Final, I'd rather do it beating Leeds than beating Catalans.

I'm not going to be 'supporting' Leeds, but I won't begrudge them a victory. All I care about is a Saints victory tomorrow.

Quote: Saddened! "Why? So we can lose another final?

The way the side is playing a GF appearance would be a surprise. I can't see us playing well enough to win against Wigan, but if we did a final against Catalan would be great. Losing to them wouldn't be a problem, but losing another to Leeds would give the Southstander cliques another 12 months of their ridiculous smugness.'"

will be at least 50-0 to leeds.
saints will just get past the pies tomorrow.
next week a cocky leeds outfit who think they will only have to turn up to retain the grand final will get a massive shock when a rampant saints side absolutely destroy them by 20 plus points.

( i wont be betting on my predictions though icon_wink.gif )

Catalan were the ONE team I wanted to avoid in the play offs. I'll settle for playing them next Saturday though. icon_lol.gif

I want Catalans to beat the Whinos - just because the forecast for next Saturday is looking a bit moist

VERY good game of RL, a 6 minute spell of fatigue cost the catalans. But over te 80 mins the dragons were the better team. Very NRL like they were. Fast and furious in defence and put in some hits that will leave bruises for weeks on the Leeds bodies. They are one hell of a unit, and just need to cut out their silly holding down shinnanigans and be a little more composed on the line. Just goes to show that the season is pointless, and its a case of gearing up at the end.

Awesome game of RL.

Completely agree. The only true way to be champions is to beat the best and Leeds are the best. Blistering tonight at times but still beatable.

Great game.
Leeds got the better of the 50/50 calls but McGuires try just before half time was worthy of winning any game.

The one thing they (Leeds) have is pace to burn, but I think their pack is vulnerable.

You are like Danny Williams in tonights prize fighter. Left yourself wide open there.

Anyone to give him the k.o punch?

Would that be the try that came from being in an offside position? It should never have been given like the first try that came from a knock on. I hope Ganson has a better game than the homer Silverwood did tonight. It's just a pity that Bird was taken off at the crucial time in the game. Saying that the Dragons should have had better ball control in the first part of the game as I am sure they would have blown the Rhinos apart.

I agree. Both Saints and Wigoon have a physical enough game to put them under pressure. I like our composure and muscle against Leeds and like Wigoon's big hits and determination against them.

One thing that Saints fans moaned about over the past couple of years is our perceived inability to match Leeds in poorer weather conditions. I'm more confident this year of facing them because of the way Potter has drilled into us our need to go forward with the ball through the pack. It will be a different Grand Final this year and it's a 50/50 game for me with Leeds one score favourites.

I don't think McGuire was offside it was a superb try that needed pace and brilliant execution, but I agree with with the first one being a knock on. (shouldn't the touch judge have seen it?)

TBH I'd rather play Leeds than Catalan.

Catalans not being able to pick the right option in the Leeds 10m on most occasions they got there cost them more than anything.
