If you try and pin blame on Meli for that then you have passed the border into complete idiocy. Wello threw a pass in dire conditions that hit the floor before it went to meli. Now a rugby ball bounces strange at the best of times but in snow it is impossible. Meli did well to ground it under pressure and not concede more than a drop out. Wello's reaction with himself shows who was at fault! If the pass had gone to Meli not to the floor and he'd have dropped it you may have had a case

Well, if I have passed it then I'm not in it am I? I suppose you wouldn't realise that though because instead of offering an intelligent response you resort to an insult, and a nonsensical one at that.
Meli scored a try and made a good tackle.
Sia was the best player for Saints IMO and Jones did a good job too.

| I'd say Manu was our best player last night, I thought Soliola was pretty quiet.

It wasn't an insult, the comment was if you blame Meli for it when it clearly wasn't his fault, not you are. Do you genuinely blame Meli for that incident yesterday?
Why do you have such an outrageous agendas against certain players and try and blame them for things that werent their fault? And then have a mass love in for people who play poorly or make errors that you then defend to the max despite stone cold, rock solid facts proving just how wrong you are!
Meli played well yesterday and has all year. In fact he has looked much more comfortable and in much better form for the last 12 or so months. He may have the odd brain fart but his contribution to the team can not be doubted or under estimated

In truth, the blame was shared equally between the two of them although I could see what Wello had in mind - there was a massive space on that side of the field. But that Meli dropped the ball is nothing new. He does it quite a bit. Everyone around me came out with the ritual 'bloody hell Meli' when he did it.

On the Radio Sia came across quite well, sounded like he was aiming up in defense. I think in one set of 6 he made nearly every tackle.

The radio had it right. Manu didn't really figure much, except to lay on the pass that Jones took up to put Meli in. Sia was stand out among the Saints players for his enthusiasm. He wasn't as obvious as he is on a dry track, for obvious reasons (it wasn't a dry track!), but he was everywhere doing everything and with much more enthusiasm than any of the other Saints players, who all came across as relatively lacklustre (even when compared to Salford!).

It should never have got there though. Wellens was far too slow returning the ball, it put us under pressure forcing him to pass (and a bad one at that) and that then forced Meli under pressure. Put simply if Lomax was in that position, it wouldn;t have even occured.

Haha.i'd love to see your reaction if Meli gave a pass like that to Makinson.
Have a little look a Ah Van's performance against Wigan tonight. Now that's awinger to complain about.

Meli has given plenty of passes 'like that' to Wello in the past and so I guess he got a taste of his own medicine, but unlike Wello, he was too incompetent to deal with it.

And I'm sure that in those situations, you would decide the fault should be split between the two men.
More importantly, watching the Wigan game (a little behind real time), and O'loughlin has gone off with a suspected cracked rib. Good news for us next week.

No, of course not, because Wello has always dealt with Meli's stupid passes very well. Had he not then yes I would.

I wouldn't wish an injury on anyone but not having him as well as Samkins to worry about should help our cause although I'm not overly hopeful of success, especially if Brown plays Wello at the back.

| Come on SaintsFan, how on Earth can you say this?

It was poor execution and poor thinking on Wellens' part.

For the simple reason that that is my opinion, and indeed the opinion of half a dozen people sitting around me in the North Stand! But even if it wasn't their opinion, it would still be mine.
End of conversation.

Why is that relevant? I've asked why you hold that opinion. Basic comprehension SaintsFan.
Anyway it's a mute point. Viva Pope Francis.
