It is annoying but every team needs agressive forwards.

Vila was no where near as psycho as Davidson. He had that glazed over look in his eyes and you really thought he could take someone's head off.

I seem to remember Vila one time, I'm not even sure if it was in attack or defence, launching his head like a cannonball at an opponent's knees.

He had a spell of running in with his head and a spell of running in with his knees up.

He could be devastating when he was interested, especially on the inside ball off Goulding.

He sure could. Consistancy was a problem, as were injuries.
On his day, though, he could mix it with the best of them.
I wouldn't mind him pulling on the Vee again, despite his draw backs.

That guy was a moron. I remember when Adrian Morley got sent off for decked him at Headingley. It was pleasing on so many levels.

We really need one of those players now though. It makes me want to vomit when Wane comes out with these comments about how his players will protect little Sam because there are so many trying to hurt him, yet three or four of the biggest thugs in the league are Wigan players. (Hock, McIllorum, Frodo and Lima). We've got no one who will stand up to that physical aggression like we always used to have and we get bullied.

I think he did mature a bit yes. Not many good enforcers around these days sadly, people some times think aggression means you have to be dirty too, McIlorum is just a second rate thug who'll spend his career in Roby's shadow, he's not even the best 9 at the pie dome, that honour goes to a guy who is aggressive but not imo dirty , Tommy L

McIlorum was deservedly sent off and will now get a ban. It was stupid and foolish and cost us any chance of the win. Hopefully he will now learn his lesson...
