Would have settled for that at kick off time! Any win would have done to be honest.

The return of Roby and Lomax is really starting to show.

Hope we can build some momentum now and have a much better run in til the end of the season.

We scored 38 in the 2nd half which is no mean feat. Hopefully we can build on that 2nd half performance for nexct week which will be a much tougher game.

Nicely set up for next week, thought we would only win by 10-20 points. The team will have gained a lot of confidence from the last 2 wins, hopefully we can step things up ready for the business end of the season.
Is O Brien on his last game next week or has his loan been extended.

Really good that Salford gave it a bloody good go. MANU and Lomax great tonight. I thought Gaskell put the doubters to bed with his performance.

Well according to Saints twitter NB thinks he's worth having around...

Saints showed tonight what standard we (salford) have to aspire to next year, we gave it a good go for, the first 50 mins but we lacked heart and a tough mentality when you furthered your lead, that's what' happened for the majority of games for us this year, let's hope next year we give you a much tougher game.

First half Salford were dominating the ruck speed very well and really controlling the game. It wasn't until a fortunate pass (that hit the floor) led to a break and we scored. We then looked far better and their try was solely down to Wellens who shot out when we had shifted well to a 3 v 3.

Second half we were really dominant and we looked quicker and the forwards were getting good yards. Couple of fortunate tries (one included Lomax who kicked the ball and it bounced off a couple of players and fell into his hands) but also a couple of well worked ones like Turner's - it was a fantastic try and a highlight of the night.

Manu was exceptional yet again and Roby was also hitting his usual level. Think a big mention has to go to Laffranchi as he was very good.

Overall Gaskell wasn't great - he made a few bad erros (incl one of our last scores) - but his kicking game was good and his try assist for Broughton was good. I don't think we are missing much from not keeping him at the club.

I don't know whether it was just me, but Lomax seemed to limp off with what looked to be either a hip or leg injury. Did anyone else notice this?
