I definitely expected a tougher game but I think in the end we really stepped up big time and your guys weren't quite at the races.

| talking of great tackles, i thought Makinsons in the first half to stop Welham scoring was magnificent.
He just stopped him dead in his tracks on a one on one with Welham running flat out to smash his way over the try line.
What made it even more impressive was that Welham was completely wrapped up and could not put the ball down.

That's the second try saving tackle he has made in as many weeks. It was tremendous. He is looking like a very promising prospect on that wing, is Makinson. Secure under the high ball, working hard in defence, taking the ball up, got pace, looks for work, can score tries. If Garder is re-signed, he will have a fight on his hands getting his wing spot back if Makinson continues to develop at the present rate.
IMO, obviously.

| Im not sure Thaler helped us out much at the start of the game, 2 of the first trys looked dodgy to me. Both what looked like handling errors from Saints players from what I remember, would like to them on telly before I really start ranting and raving lol.
We was outclassed all over the park, which to be honest I expected.

| Nice and easy. I didnt expect us to win by such a score, I was thinking maybe a 20 point win margin. We played very well, Hull KR were just torn apart and dismantled for fun. Real nice display from the redvee men.

He made two try savers with that one being as good as I've seen all season, I thought he was excellent yesterday.
The corporate man of the match was an odd choice however, I thought Shenton had a bit of a stinker considering our dominance. They must have had more of an eye on the champagne. Plenty of others to choose from too, any of the front row including Roby or Pryce for mine.

We did try and force it a couple of times, but he's all of a sudden a lot more threatening. It will be interesting to see some highlights.
Not my MoM though.

| I thought Rovers were poor yesterday. Defensively, not only did their defence sit back it also fell off far too many tackles and I think it's indicative of a team which has either switched off (although I can't see that with it being a cup quarter final) or run out of ideas. I'm thinking the latter because the last two years they've stagnated a bit and this year has been a drop from those stagnating years when I think their fans would have been hoping for pushing the top four. That Rovers haven't been able to push on suggest their game plan/coaching is stale and has fallen behind what's currently happening in the league.

They need a shake up. they've a pretty tough pack on their day, but they failed to hold ours at all. I thought Clint Newton was the only forward that really managed anything - looking dangerous with the ball and managed a mighty shot on Graham at one point.
