He needs to grow up. He's in his mid twenties now.

Monie didn't turn Jason Robinson around; Jason Robinson turned himself around. I've heard his story. He may have looked up to Monie but the decision to make changes belonged to Jason Robinson. Now if Moore looks up to Brown then maybe he will take any advice given but unless Moore becomes wise to himself, learns from his mistakes and chooses to turn things around for himself, Brown can spend a lifetime giving advice and hugging him and it won't make a jot of difference to Moore's behaviour or attitude.

Is he not grown up now? He's certainly taken on responsibility anyway, what with marriage and children and a proper job. He lives for rugby league. If you've read his book then you'll know just how vital the sport is to him.

But my point is that Robinson wanted that. He was looking for something and found it. Moore clearly does not want that. He wants his booze and friends and fun. Until or unless Moore himself wants to change, all the hugs in the world won't make a jot of difference.

Jason Robinson says he owes his life and career to inga, he says inga took him under his wing and showed him how to live his life.

For a school teacher who works with people as team I thought you more than most would understand that sometimes that little arm on the shoulder, that little pat on the back, that little hug can make all the difference.
Like I said, it's good team management.
No good coach in his right mind would just turn his back on a player without doing all he can to help, if after he's done all he can then fair enough but it's clear brown feels he's got the coaching skills to get the best from Moore.

Of course. But it was Jason who wanted that. Inga couldn't have done anything at all to help unless Jason wanted that help.

First of all, I am a primary school teacher. I deal with children aged 11 and under. Secondly, I am not supposed to touch any children. That is against all safeguarding policy. Of course if a child is crying their little hearts out at school then I will give them a hug and screw safeguarding policy because they are in emotional pain and they are little. But by doing that I leave myself open to false accusations.
Scott Moore is not 11 years and under. He's a fully paid up adult. That is an entirely different beast.
I remember being somewhat berated on here when Potter was still in charge and I criticised Potter for openly putting Jamie Foster down in a post match interview. I stated that it was wrong to do that as nobody knew how it would affect Foster to be publically put down. As usual I was jumped on by many people on here. However, I was spot on. And I agree with you that people should always be treated as individuals. It is not the principle I am disagreeing with. I just don't agree that the proposed solution is the correct one in this case.

I don't recall potter putting foster down in a interview but if he did do it in public then that's wrong.
Like I said, a good coach knows who needs a kick up the backside and a player that needs a arm around him.
If thats what it takes to get Moore playing good rugby then so be it. If brown can tame him then I'd be happy to have Moore back at saints. (no way McManus wil tho)
