It won't be after November and the JJB isn't your clubs either.

| Sam Tomkins is the most exciting player in World Rugby at the moment. Yes, he has his tricks, but referees are not giving him the benefit of the doubt at the moment, so it is costing him. As for being booed at rival club stadiums, thats part of game. But being booed for playing for England, thats not right. The RFL has declared 17,000 (included lots of free tickets), a success; what do they think when Wigan/Saints get nearly 25,000.
As a reward for those so called fans in Leeds, move the next match to an area that appreciates class and their national team. It would also mean that we wouldn't have to pick 2 over the hill Leeds players just to bolster the gates.

Er, I don't think so. There was that young guy in the NSW squad for the Origin match, the one who is a Mormon and going off on mission work for two years. He was more exciting than Tomkins. In fact, a number of players are more exciting than Tomkins. Tomkins is good. But he's not 'the most exciting player in world rugby'!

All of the 34 players involved in State of Origin 2 yesterday, plus many more, are streets ahead of Tomkins in the excitement stakes. As I have said before, with ball in hand, he is a joy to watch.
But he's a cheat.
Nobody likes cheats.

| People dislike him as he is good, not the best thing sliced bread but a good player. Plays for Wigan, usually people other than Wigan fans love to hate Wigan. Put the two together and it's not surprising.
Peopl calling him a cheat is a bit strong, cheating is like the betting scandal of Long and Gleeson.
There have been plenty of players who have bent the rules, pushed the refs and tried their best to gain a competitive edge. Sinfield is constantly in the Refs ear at Leeds. Long was always trying to push the boundaries of what was acceptable. McGuire was always playing for the penalty. Tomkins does the same, he is not cheating.
When players in the '90s started to thrash around in the tackle (playing for the holding down penalty) were they considered cheats??
I feel Tomkins treatment by fans and the league is a little stupid and some people are getting rather silly about a young player who is good and even stated by opposition fans as being only good, so why the abuse by fans and some players? Crazy, he's not that good.

Nope. It's because he's a cheat. And petulant. And he kicks out in the tackle and goes in with the knees. That kind of thing. There are an awful lot of good players who fans from opposing teams don't dislike. We just dislike Tomkins because he cheats. And plays dirty sometimes.

You need to look closer to home, Foster milks penaltys all the time, as soon as he hits the floor his legs are everywere like a disabled spider.
You hate Sam because he's class, and he plays for Wigan, same reason you hated Andy Farrell. No shame in it, I hated Sean Long because he was class, and he played for Saints.

As per previous comments - there's plenty good player past and present who havent been booed and they've played for Wigan

The only thing those 2 cheated was the bookies (which I find quite amusing as they have insider info all the time) and them selves out of half a season of Rugby and wages - Cheating is taking Steriod's or other drugs to enhance performance (Terry Newton, Gareth Hock ...) or in the case of Tomkins going in with the knee's , clamping arms in the tackle etc etc

Take off your Cherry and White specs and then watch a re run of the 2 SOO matches so far. Tomkins is a good player with a bad attitude, would he make either of those 2 SOO teams? I dont think so , in fact he'd be lucky to make the country v city team

Cocaine is not a performance enhancing drug, and I very much doubt he was in the changing room toilets hoovering up lines half an hour before kick off, in which case his reactions would have been enhanced. Im not condoning drug taking at all but it isnt performance enhancing.

| I think he is a very exciting player, but the moment he tried to end KC's career by tackling him really late hard in the side of his knee as third man (when KC gave a stare that would kill) I lost any respect for the rat.
No need for that what so ever.

I doubt he took it on match days as a performance enhancer, il edge my bets and say he took it after a game or at weekends just like a frightening amount of young people do these days. it would be quite obvious he was off his face wouldnt it on a match day.
