But for the fact I like Meli, despite the odd slip, I would have thought Raynor would have been a good signing either way.

If your talking about Pryce, then we already had him before he had the court case over his head, so we didn't gamble on signing him like Crusaders have by signing Raynor.

Crusaders haven't gambled on him staying out of jail, they will have that in his contract. It will either run up to the date of sentancing with an option to extend or have a clause in it so they can release him if he's banged up.

I'd bet it wouldn't cost anything to fire a player who got a sentance anyway as it would be them breaking the contract by not being available to the club.

My thoughts ezactly, at least that way we could have signed a quality replacement.

He will be missed if this is true, he was arguably our best player at the back end of last season.

I doubt anyone would be available now though, so the youngsters will be able to have an extended run in the first team.

my twopenneth is that we should play him at centre, with lomax or wheeler outside him. he is a good, tricky runner and like a few people have said he was prob our best player offensively at the back end of last season. he just doesn't deal with kicks well. soliola could then move to second row.

I heard he got into a bit of a frcas with harry potter straight after the GF and they still haven't repaired their relationship.
