It was only last month she was bragging how Royce got us to a grand final yet Brown won LLS and the grand final and she's glad to see the back of him

Whatever you say.
He was called Anthony Laffranchi by the way. And he came with a reputation having played SOO and for Australia. Latterly he had played at prop.
I'm glad we let go of that ace recruit by Brown who went by the name of Ghostmont. At least Laffranchi got on to the pitch and was a consumate professional at all times never giving anything less than his best even if the Aussies got it wrong by playing him at prop (and thus giving us the impression that he would have impact there).

You are incredibly childish. So much so that I just can't take your posts seriously!

I thought it stunk personally (probably a bit like a butt plug would after use) and knew then that regardless of the GF result, it was very poor timing and thought then he should just go regardless of getting the job or not.'"
My guess is that that is what McManus thought too. Hence he has gone!

I'm not gonna get involved in this argument - both Brown and Simmons had their merits. But:
A) Laffranchi joined in the 2012 season, not 2011 ( www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyl ... anchi.html )
And b) you cannot suggest when comparing signings that Laffranchi and ghostmont are put in the same bracket?!? I'd be amazed if ghostmont was on 1/10 of boofs salary. A closer comparison would be Amor (whose still probably on 75% boofs salary) and Laffranchi - who represents value for money?

I know he did. What was your point?

I wasn't talking about salary. I was talking about quality of signing, since the clear implication in the post I was replying to was that only Simmons could have recruited badly. Well, so did Brown. So did Potter with bloody Josh Perry. There are duds and there are diamonds and then there are average joes.

There was a suggestion that he was signed in 2011. This was not the case.
Brown was by far and a way the best recruiter. In a capped sport you can't discuss quality of signing without discussing value for money - in which Brown walks it. Yes, Perry, arguably Laffranchi and ghostmont were "duds" but in terms of value for money, ghostmonts signing had precisely no impact on the rest of the squad and as a result put him ahead of the others who were on big salaries.
Anyway, a much more interesting conversation is who is KC signing

No more suggestions that Brown was sacked, comments which could be seen as libel are against the AUP.
The fact of the matter is he had to go home because of a family illness. How would you like it if a family illness required you to leave your job and people then started spreading rumours that you had been sacked? You wouldn't so keep your conspiracy theories to yourself please, any more will be.

| I truly can't believe some people are so petty that they can't accept being wrong and instead start to spout things about he was always going.
He was here for 3 years. Unforeseen circumstances meant he had to go home this year. This was already agreed. Then a job pops up at home and he applies. Well so would everyone else. Does not stop the fact he was already going anyway. He does not get the job, then his dad lets it slip a week before the GF. Saints can either deny or admit it or keep quiet. The only option is to be open as anything else would be a disaster.
I'm sure Brown would have preferred to have stayed, failing that he would have preferred to have left only announcing it after the GF. The club did well to keep it as quiet as they did for as long as they did.
But Jess you can't deny the man got results. His recruitment was top notch.
His bringing through of youth has been excellent, so we were inconsistent, so was every other team in the league. And they were a damn sight more inconstant than us.
Brown is the most successful Saints coach in years yet some don't like him because he's not their cup of tea. Well whoop de do.
Get over yourselves. I did not like Potter, but I could see where he was trying to go and you support the team, the coach and the club. Go ask your favourite players next time you go to a forum what they thought of him and I'm pretty sure you will get a positive response, but that will still not change people with a closed mind.

It's just a crazy old bitter women who can get over the fact that Royce Simmons was a total disaster and set the club back years as I predicted at the time.
