Gin and tonic?'"
I'd prefer a Southern Comfort please. A tripple. Neat. Thx.

We have cobbled together a side, with out 6th and 8th choice half backs, lost two players mid game, and still every player ran their blood to water. Yes, we missed stupid tackles, and yes we made stupid errors. But add Puletua and either Pryce, Lomax or Wheeler (and heavens to betsy, Eastmond) to that side, and it looks infinitely better.
We have a lot of kids starting to stand up, Magennis is putting in some bell ringing hits, Foster looks like he could beak the line on every return.
A couple of bodies back and the out look is not so bleak.
NEVER write off the Saints.'"

| I know you have injuries and as Eddie pointed out once or twice, players missing but surely the likes of;-
Wellans
Meli
Soliola
Shenton
Gardner
Foster
Graham
Roby
Perry
Wilkin
Mcarthy-Scarsbrook
Surely these players would get in when you have a fully fit squad?
Granted you had no halfbacks but IMO your pack was well beaten today and any halfbacks may have stuggled

| Where were all the Saints fans who traveled over to Huddersfield tonight at full time ? I'll tell you where...Still inside the ground applauding their team off the field. True supporters to a man. Good luck for the rest of the season and well done.

| Eddie was banging on about us having ten players out and I'm not sure if thas true or not.
What I can say, we had wheeler, Pryce, lomax, Tony p, Moore, clough, flannery missing from our starting 17 and maybe eastmond.
That's 8 missing from our starting 17.

Flannery as well.
It's not about numbers today. We've had a whole half season with several out each week. The effect that has on the players cannot be underestimated. It stops them being rested, stops them being rotated properly and most importantly causes massive confusion and disorganisation in the defensive and attacking patterns. One of the most crucial things this season has been our lack of consistency in the half back positions.

Very true. It's not just the numbers but the fact players ain't getting the rest periods they need during the game, players playing with injuries and training must be a real mess with no fit players making it hard to prepare for the games.

Which of these 11 would have missed out if the 10 that were missing would definitely have played according to Eddie Hemmings?
Just imagine what the score would have been had we had all our injured players in the team tonight.

| Just a little mention for hale who went pretty well on his debut. He held his own and looked solid enough after being called up late from flannery dropping out.

We didn't have ten first team regulars out but did have wheeler, Pryce, lomax, eastmond, Tony P, flannery, clough and Moore who'd have all been pushing for the 17.

No halfbacks. I'm getting sick of posting that tonight. NO BLOODY HALFBACKS.
It's like driving an F1 car without a steering wheel. It could be problematic.
