| Obsessive....seems to me your a bit obsessed with Dave Hewitt having mentioned him in most of your posts on this topic, i.e "missing" him in both games so far and now his return in tomorrows game. I agree with you he is a talented player and a great prospect, but the team doesn't revolve around just him. It just seems to me your putting added pressure on his young shoulders. This is by no means a gripe or anything its purely my opinion.

| Dave is the most exciting player I have seen for years. I can't wait to see him in action. I heard big things about him so went and seen it for myself, he is a very talented lad.

| Apparently Mark Percival scored on the last play of the game to win it for the under 18's, sounds like a great game.

But a star for whom? I would imagine now that Widnes are in the Superleague, he will want to play for his home town club.

I doubt that, it may have some pull, but like Wilkin the draw of playing for a top team and challenging for trophies is much greater

How did the U15's get on and did Hewitt play well?

| The U15's won easy 34 - 4 or something like that. Hewitt played very well but M.O.M went to Adam Saunders again who scored 2 to follow up on his hat trick last week.
As for Mark going back Widnes. Not likely as he signed a 3 year proffesional deal last season and will be touring Australia with Saints in October.

| Quote: Saintly Warrior "Saints start this years Scholarship programme at Thatto Heath on Saturday where we will entertain Hull at U15 and U16 level. Our U16's went unbeaten last year at U15 level beating Crusaders, Whitehaven, Salford, Wigan and Warrington in the process. So as a team they're still unbeaten. As for our new crop at U15 level we have some good players so hopefully we can achieve the same success.
Im going to use this thread to keep you updated about the results and try scorers as i'll be going all the games.
Players to look out for at U15 level
David Hewitt - Bold Miners - Fullback/Standoff - unfortunately injured for the Hull game but an extremly gifted player with bags of pace.
Kane Ditchfield - Crossfields - Second row/Loose Forward - Excellent player who is currently playing for England.
Olivier Davies - Orrell St james - Second Row - Hard hitting forawrd who played for England vs Wales last week.
Joseph Ryan - Bold Miners - Prop/Second row - Massive lad for his age and won Warringtons player of the year at U14 level.
Adam Saunders - Thatto Heath - Loose Forward/Standoff - Good player and wins M.O.M everyweek for Heath.
Dom Elkin - Saddleworth Rangers - Fullback/Wing - Tiny player who is very elusive and powerfull for his size, got a good bif of pace.
Star players in our U16's include
Andre Savelio - Latchford - Second Row - Kiwi born monster who is currently a England youth international. Great strength and was top try scorer last year.
Lewis Gailbraith - Saddleworth Rangers - Centre - Stocky centre who is also very fast, for me he is Saints best young talent at scholarship level. Currently a England youth International.
Greg Richards - Chorley Panthers - Second Row/Prop - Monster Cumbrian who as made great progress since his Barrow days, Greg is also a Youth England International.
Ben Parry - Chorley Panthers - Fullback/Wing/Centre - Very tall and fast who once again is a England Youth International. Breaks tackles very easily.
Luke Thompson - Bold Miners - Loose Forward - Very unlucky not to make the England squad, hard as nails who will run through brick walls.
Lewis Charnock - Rylands - Loose Forward/Stand Off - unfortunately he is out for all our games this year with a Shoulder injury. Shame as he is very talented.
Some of these lads will make it for Saints so it's interesting to see how they develop as players. Good luck on Saturday lads.'"

| Went and watched the u'15 saints scholarships play it was an unlucky score for saints as it was 30 - 24 to leeds but the player who stood out for me and been watching him in all the scholarship games he is one of the top try scorers and he played a M.O.M performance and that was Deon Cross he is a great talant.

| I'm looking forward to seeing the U15 and U16 Wigan v Saints games this weekend.
Wigan are unbeaten at both levels but in truth have not been tested.
The U16's are averaging scores of 68 - 8 in their games, whilst the U15 are averaging 45 - 8 in theirs.
Here's hoping for a better competition this weekend, those sorts of scores do nothing for teams (either Wigan or their opponents)
