A little sad isn't it. It sums up the mentality of the two sets of fans and the clubs themselves. We have won trebles and not bothered with a t-shirt. I guess when your expectations are low you need to celebrate what you can.  |

Saints are definitely commercially astute. It's just that we made our money out of 75-0 stuff rather than beating Wire, but for probably similar reasons. In the 1980s/90s no-one would have believed we would have ever beaten Wigan 75-0. It was well worth celebrating when it happened and Saints didn't just sell t-shirts with it on but mugs and stickers and the like. |
