Yeah fair play to him. Still gives away lots of penalties though, which was one of the things that frustrated me most about him at Saints. |

Mason has always had the physical attributes to succeed. He's a pretty big guy and has that stocky barrel physique (along the lines of Clough, or even Webcke, who I used to think he was a dead ringer for) with a low centre of gravity, which means his point of first contact (the chest) is below the height that defenders are most comfortable hitting. Webcke exploited the advantage to the full by hitting this point and then driving up and [ithrough[/i - effectively impaling the tackler on his shoulder and lifting him off his feet. Of course, Webcke could do this because he had tremendous leg strength (similar to Cunningham's). Mason does not. Webcke also had a brain. Mason does not.

| The worst thing in the world are stats, why, coz from 161 mtrs, for 26 carries you get 6.1 m/carry.... go bag someone else or check the stats better would be my advice  |
