| He is wasted at cad though.
Rangi in the halves, lomax at fullback.
Yes please
There would be some pretty entertaining rugby.

| It's a terrible joke, like the chances of saints paying a transfer fee ever again!

It was wishful thinking but still he's here
I think you'll find I was on about Manu a long long time ago without actually releasing we'd signed him. It was a few suttle hints.
I got told this morning that Chase signed for Salford today.
Off topic but Ant walker is now fit and available for selection.

I doubt our finances have increased in the last 12 month.'"
Rush said: “We’re very happy with Lance, Jonny and Lee Gaskell, and there’s always Jon Wilkin as a fourth option in the halves.
Well that worked out lol!
When was the last time we paid a transfer fee? I can't remember one since Scully!??

| In all fairness transfer fees have gone out of the window within the game. Fielden for 400k was the last real hoorah. These fees these days to championship clubs are more a friendly game or send us your business rate demand for the financial year. That culture change is part of the reason for the demise of Oldham, they used to make a fortune on transfer fees going back to the eighties.

Warrington got Carvell for just £50k because we were to proud to pay it. Pride comes before a fall

And on the point of Oldham, has such a small RL club / town produced such big stars? Jointy, Martyn , Scully, Sinfield ... The talent out of that town is amazing

No, they haven't. 6 figure sums are being handed about, there has been one this week with Elliot Whitehead joining Catalans. Wigan have paid 6 figure sums for Scott Taylor and Blake Green recently too. Warrington through transfer fees about to anyone with a pulse.
It's just Saints who lack the ambition and desire to actually build a successful squad.

| They never used to be a small club pal. Watersheddings used to really rock in years gone by. I have been on the ground with well over ten thousand on. Then the culture changed the transfer fees stopped coming in and they got the ground taken away. These days it is very sad I did some sponsorship work at the new ground and I was shocked they even had a license for it. It was worse than the amateur clubs in the town such as Saddleworth.

Why do you still support Saints then? Warrington for all the cash they have thrown at anything what have they actually achieved in terms of numbers of finals and league position in the ten years Moran has been throwing the dosh. Taylor and Blake remind me where they signed from and how do you know a fee was paid? Whitehead joined Catalans for less and I mean less than Salford offered for his services my source actually works at Bradford and the club is seething over it and so is Mr Noble.

| I hope not, he really is the last chance for the club. I enjoyed Friday and the main stand is far better than the wind tunnel behind the sticks. The problem for the good Doctor is the crowds I kid you not half where Saints fans that leaves 1500 Salford fans. I fear the biggest risk is the Doc buying Sale and forming the first hybrid club and they choose Union, it will be down the line but wouldn't shock me. I had a drink at the aerodrome before the game and they told me Sale match days they make a mint Salford match days it hardly has a ripple effect.

| I wouldn't complain if saints paid a large transfer fee to get him.
I would also rather see young English talent targeted instead of second rate ozzies.
Lineham and crooks from hull spring to mind.
Offer them a decent wage rather than the likes of laffranchi
I like him but I can't help but think saints could offer his wages to a much more talented player.
Don't know who has been in charge of recruitment but it goes without saying it could have been 10 times better in the last few years.
