Mcillorum is an absolute t*** and cost us any chance we had in the game tonight , he will probably get a 2-3 match ban, deservedly so ..but at the end of the day what did our loss mean tonight....nothing...granted your win gets you 3rd and a trip to wire where i hope you win but tonights result meant nothing in the grand scheme of things for us...all it did was allow us to play fielden/dudson and rest Smith. But yes Mcillorum is a thug , well he was tonight anyway

The minute he was sent off, the game become massive for saints as a loss to a 12 man Wigan would have knocked our confidence big time.

It was a late hit to the head & a straight forward red card. That's enough. He broke the rules & was punished accordingly. I've seen Saints players do similar things & get a free pass so I can't really understand the righteous indignation. It was good refereeing ( for once).

If anything, tonight could serve as an important mental boost, a huge weight off our shoulders. Going into the play-offs on the back of 4 defeats in a row to you would have been horrible. |

Disgusting tackle from a cheap shot merchant. Similar to when Newton nailed Long all them years ago. Luckily James Child grabbed hold of his nuts and set him off - not sure many other refs would have done so.
