| 13,350 is surely not big enough for a Wigan-saints derby? even if it is on sky and at 8 on a friday! Should have sorted a stadium out before getting booted out of Knowsley Road!

The Saints-Wire matches have been sellouts for the last two seasons so they are just as big in terms of turnout as Wigan-Saints. If Wire is being played at Widnes, and it is, then so should Wigan. In addition, I think Saints could do without the outlay of a soccer stadium when they are already paying rent for Widnes, especially since the soccer stadium would be largely empty and so would probably not pay for itself.

There's nothing much else that can be done really, however I have a season ticket so I'll probably pop through the turnstiles about quarter of an hour before kick off to get to my seat lol.

As you have said this game is due to be played during the football off season which brings problems. Most clubs will have routine maitenance work planned during this period. These may be minor items such as repairs to the facilities or replacing damaged kit to a full relaying of the pitch.
Goodison is also likely to be out as this is the best time to do the bulk of the development work for the new retail/hospitality structure that is due to be built in the Park End car park.

| There have been times when we play wire and the HJ has sold out, meaning some Saints fans cant get tickets. We dont start threads on other boards demanding the match is moved to a bigger venue. Why should Saints move the match?moving it would give up'home' advantage (not worth a lot,but still in our favour)as was said,Widnes is our home for 2011 get on with it.

| You'll just have to make sure you get a ticket asap. Problem solved.

| It wasn't really a demand, I don't think the 'powers that be' come on here and read these posts anyway and it has been a rumour that's been floating around on here for a bit that there was a chance the game could get moved (first saw it in the Wigan Evening post). After reading the replies, it's clear that the game has to be played at Widnes anyway. Just thought I'd see what the lay of the land was!

| To be fair the non Good Friday Superleague games have been nowhere near sell outs for a long time. Here are the last five from K.R.
2001 - 13,571
2003 - 12,287
2005 - 13,281
2007 - 14,293
2009 - 15,563
So maybe it's not a big problem

| The only problem will be at the Wiagn end i would assume. With them getting X million bandwagoners now, people will be left without.
As opposed to us who , like McLennan, said will just pop in about 15 minutes before the game starts. People will know when tickets go on sale, if they dont get theirs early then they will miss out. Tough . I know people have jobs and so forth but send one of your relatives instead then! or ring up, or order online. Just don't complain about your inability to get tickets.

Conveniently forgetting that over the past eleven seasons Wigan have averaged 30% more spectators than Saints.

Amazing effort by saints there, increasing around 1000 fans every game from 2003

It's labelled 'the Wigan walk', there's a reason for that. All fans lose heart and will leave early at some point, but I have never see a team do it as consistently as Wigan. In all fairness there are plenty who stay, but a lot of fans leave up to 10-15 minutes before the end of the game when Wigan are losing.
