| Quote: Blobbynator "My 1st post after the game and whilst this may be a reaction to the new coaching regime from the players, I've not seen Saints play like that for 4 or 5 years. We were absolutely sensational all across the park. Everyone in the 17 had a strong game, some more than others, but everyone contributed in some way.
We played with incredible aggression in the pack offensively and defensively - everyone of them were fantastic. Perry did exactly what we had hoped he would do from the start - excellent display and gives me optimism for his future, Puletua was outstanding in the back row (I'm excited to see him alongside Soliola), Wilkin worked tirelessly, Laffranchi was strong, Roby superb, LMS gave us great impact and both Magennis and Clough worked very hard. 4 forwards on the bench meant we were able to sustain the pressure and we were relentless. Leeds didn't stand a chance and their try came from a huge forward pass.
The backs off the back of it were top quality and that was all down to the great work of the half backs who completely controlled the game. Hohaia was the calming influence with his kicking and organisation whilst Lomax was able to shine and do what he does best. Lomax put in his best ever Saints display IMO, better than his performance last year at the DW Stadium. Gardner and Meli on the wings were fantastic, especially Gardner. They were like two wild bulls bringing that ball back, Leeds must've been fed up and they both gave us great momentum early in the sets. Gardner's tries were fantastic especially his 1st try, it was like he wound the clock back 5 years along with Wellens, who was superb also.
Most importantly for me, we were ruthless and entertaining to watch. We offloaded the ball and played with a freedom that we've not done since the Millward / Anderson era. I'm excited to see us play like this and the with the players we have on board we've got a good chance if we can continue in that type of form. Absolutely immense Saints, the 1st real special night at Langtree Park and I can't wait to see more.

| Well I hope the wire game lives up to the new expectations of everyone and April turns out to be a great month for Saints and gets us back in the fight.
All the best I'll be reading with interest how the games go.

| I have a feeling we'll come crashing down on Friday - Wire won't be making the same mistakes as Leeds.

| Going to be a test this week with the short turnaround, we have often come unstuck in the bigger games when playing on Sunday and then Friday. The players have to get in their faces from the off like the Leeds game, sore or not. To be honest, considering the pessimism with the performances of late, I'm just pleased that they have shown that the squad is more than capable if they play to their potential.

I'm not sure that will be such a big problem but we won't get the chance to do to Warrington what we did to Leeds, that is shock the fook out of them. Smith will be analysing that video very closely and their defence will be well prepared for us.

| I think the short turn around might suit us. We were on fire on Sunday and it'd be nice to see us replicate that footie again on Friday. Wire are a different kettle of fish in terms of consistency and probably defence but they aren't unbeatable. We need to move their defence around in the same way that Wigoon did when shifting the ball out wide. I know Wello has had a couple of belting games in a row now and when you saw the way that Tomkins zoomed through those spaces out wide maybe he can do the same for us to win it.

Wire make mroe mistakes than anyone, the problem is that their strike power means they do not need to build momentum like other teams. They can take you down from anywhere.
We need to make sure when we've got the ball we make it count, as there's no way (i'd have thought) that we'll keep them to 6 points like we did Leeds.

Wellens and zoom aren't two words usually found in the same sentence!

Sorry, when I say mistakes I meant the mistakes of a sloppy approach and underestimating Saints, not dropped ball etc.
Wire wouldn't underestimate us regardless of form - after the way we made their lives a misery for years their fans would want to smash us into the ground.
We were good at the weekend, very good, but Leeds didn't turn up. Wire will.

| Especially at home. If we get them on the back foot thought the crowd will definitely sense it and it'll be interesting to see how vocal the support is if we start getting on top. Will they crumble or will they shout for their team?

| I must be one of the few that thinks we'll win. Westwood is a huge loss for them, he's been their best player this year from what I've seen and has become the Graham figure of the Warrington side. Whilst they have others who do alot of quality work, none match Westwood in that area. If Soliola returns, it boosts us even further.

Only if he plays in the forwards. If they stick him in the centres - should Wheeler be injured - then he will be a liability.

Nah I'm having that. Why not? We've got nothing to lose again and Westwood has been pretty phenomenal from what I've seen of him too so let's have it lol.
