He's been as integral and influential in our success as any player in our squad other than sinfield.
What the stats tell you are he scores tries as well as creates them and in terms of over-rated
There was no one as bad as Mcguire at the weekend. No one. He was so far out of his depth, I genuinely felt sorry for him. Look, we all know of his vast limitations, so why oh why, Smith put him in such a pivital role, god only knows.

O'Loughlin has been showed up well for England, so yes, I'd be more than inclined ot agree with you.

The Saints players were really outstanding ???? Pathetic post really - you need to get a life & understand that you have had your glory as a team & other clubs will pass you lot by - Bulls to be higher than your lot in 2010 ??

| Quote: eddiewaringsflatcap "For a while a lot of Saints fans hated Sinfield, and I'll never know why. He may be a cantankerous, gobby poop at times, but he is a traditional 13 in the mould of Pinner - tough, good vision and hard working.
And then there is Danny Sidewards... Oh dear. If ever there was an overated player.
The turnstille offers little organisation and little incision. He is a genuinely nippy half back, but is zero at the highest level.
Biased Saints fans spent an age defending Leon's no-show in last years WC. It seems there are a few Leeds fans out to defend Danny Sideways...'"
Danny "sidewards - the same player who can handle the Superleague trophy while you lot watch - unless you have gone running to your cars for a quick exit from the finals

I think i posted similar on the VT on the day we badly miss him from the forwards on a day like Saturday while he doesn't always shine in attack he never lets anyone down in defence. Had he started SR instead of Peacock our RHS wouldn't have been half as exposed to Inglis. McGuire and Smith looked like lost children at times but Peacock taking 10 seconds to slide across badly affected them defensively - this was to me the coaches fault putting square pegs in round holes.
Ultimately i don't think we will compete with either Aus or the Kiwis until we get our line speed sorted - time & again they were on the front foot because we didn't get in their faces Lockyer & Thurston had an age before they kicked there was no kick pressure, our forwards are as good if not better than theirs but beacuse they get up and at us when they tackle we are stifled & kicks are invariably rushed, plop and straight into Slater's arms
Back O/T Leeds fans defending McGuire is the complete mirror image of Saints fans defending Pryce last year, stats can show positive things about any player - try assists are the last pass, doesn't mean they have made the break, threw a wonder ball or done any hard work but it makes a good stat.
He was plop on Saturday, he wasn't the only one & he wasn't helped by the lack of go forward but he certainly didn't help himself with some decisions, for the experienced head in our backs he was badly exposed.
He has been somewhat over hyped in his career but mainly by Eddie & Stevo to be fair to Leeds fans, he isn't just the support monkey he was when he started but he is by no means the complete SO either, he doesn't look cut out to be a leader & organiser at international level which is what his role was on Saturday.
If he is to play on Saturday he would be far better going back to his support roll and playing on the shoulder as we sorely miss that at this level.

Wouldnt waste your time on the poster, they are clueless, as they proved.
Danny Mac was gash and the applause for him "leaving" the field was amazing, only time I haev seen such applause for a player leaving the field was at Saitns when we had a waster called Ricky Cowan as our prop, he was awful and would be cheered and applauded each time the fat waster departed the field of play.
