| Quote: The Chair Maker "Me too, far more than the big lump Omari Caro on the other wing who it has been rumoured Saints have been after.
Would be typical of the modern day Saints to go for the big crap lad on the wing rather than the fast elusive type
Dixon has scored 14 trys for Broncos this season. So has a better strike rate than Makinson, despite being in a cellar dwellar team. Looks a better player as well.
Only turned 20 this month.
Got 41 tackle busts and 10 clean breaks to his name and made 2251 metres.
Weak points are errors with 26 and 28 missed tackles
Makinson for comparison is 21 years old, scored 10 tries, 25 tackle busts and 9 clean breaks and made 1585 metres
Defensively has 20 errors and 18 missed tackles.
When you consider that Makinson will not have been put under as much pressure defensively as Dixon due to London being rubbish then the error count and missed tackle count stand up quite well.
Caro is no lump. I'm told he's as quick as they come, in the odd times he has the ball he looked pretty handy.
I checked dixons stats also, very impressive, he was also youth player of the year for London last year.
I think Dixon is well worth a punt.
Dixon is definitely one to watch in the years ahead.'"

Sarginson didn't play last night which is maybe why some people thought he had a quiet game!

You were too busy being happy and enjoying our performance to notice such things.

It epitomises SaintsFan & JonB95 knowledge of rugby.
Or were they not at the game?

| It was a shocking game. It made me think of a fat school yard bully sitting on the ginger kid with asthma, wearing glasses. We were just happy to smother them until they gave up. I noticed that with about 20 mins left everyone was talking amongst themselves. We can sometimes be a quite crowd at home but that is usually down to us paying attention to the game rather than just not being interested.
The 80 mins kind of summed up the season. Disappointing and dower with the player and fans completely disinterested. The crowded seemed to cheer everything Wellens did apart from his missed tackles. I was glad when it was over and just wanted to get home as quick as possible.
Hopefully Nathan Brown will have a clear out. It is so disappointing that our first season in our new ground has been the worst in living memory.
A question to some of our older posters. Is this what the 70's were like?

| Quote: JonB95 "You are the most spoilt, selfish bunch of fans I know, and I support the same club. You are complaining after winning by 30 clear points against a team on a 3-game winning streak? We did what we had to do.
If you don't like rugby league, don't watch. Some of you in particular have complained after every single game this season about how ''boring'' it is, no intensity, Super League is crap, blah blah blah. Shut up. Rush is doing what he has to do to get us into the top 4. Our lads delivered 6 solid tries and you complain, so I would like to see you all watching Broncos or some other bottom of the table side every week. King Nathan will deliver the beautiful rugby league you all crave. I promise.......'"
Happy we conceeded nothing, listened on Wish FM and even they couldn't understand why Silverdud blew the pea out of his whistle.
I for one am looking forward to the playoffs as I'm hoping it is where Saints show the eternal "realists" on here that they are fully focused on a 7th consecutive Grand Final appearance.
Win, lose or draw I'm a Saints Fan and will never ever say that I don't want to see us competing for trophies. The In-laws support the Dire and it is gut wrenching watching them parade round like they have been the best team in Super League since it's inception in 1996.

| Quote: Saddened! "But we don't have any chance in the Play offs, surely you can see that? We've avoided an embarrassing season by going through the motions and grinding out wins through very negative, boring tactics. But as soon as we come up against any real quality we unfold very rapidly.
Brown has a major task on his hands. Sorting the culture and mentality of the side is probably his biggest problem. We are rudderless, have no leaders and no on-field general. But more than that we lack spirit and we don't have the never-say-die attitude we used to have.
Anyone expecting an open attacking style of play under Brown are mistaken. Huddersfield's entertainment value came from having Brough and some fantastic athletes in the outside backs and at fullback, he'll have none of that at his disposal at Saints.'"
Every team in the top 8 has a chance! at the end of the day it's knock out Rugby for 5th - 8th from week 1 of the play offs then the rest join from week 2 (depending on their week 1 results).
Abolish the Club call though as it is an absolute Farce that you can choose who you play to try to get to Old Trafford.

Silverwood didn't help, his constant whistle blowing for both teams stopped either really getting a roll on and that does contribute to it being such a poor game.
Even if we don't make it to OT this year, looks like a 3rd place finish in SL with 2/3 of the season being coached by an academy coach and a bloke with no prior coaching experience and I think that's a decent achievement...Especially when looking back to the bulls game at odsal when I said I would have settled for anywhere in top 6.
2012 has been a difficult year for us with moving to the new ground, not having a recognised coach etc and I think a better judgement on where we are going to be moving forward will be next year when NB comes in...just think we should try and stay behind the lads moving into the playoffs rather than slating them - after all I would take boring games all day long if it gets the job done and could bring the trophy home'"

All for that! but I would go one step further & make it simply a knockout competition just with the top club going through, no second bites of the cherry! whoever came up with that is beyond me, lose a cup game but go on have another go? it should the simply the Sky TV Knockout Trophy and the Top of Super League are the Premiership Winners!

I do like the looks of Dixon and Dan Sarginson from the Broncos, both look very exciting players.'"
We have got to start holding on to these players! we can't just be looked as a feeder club, three good players in Sarginson, Dixon and Caro, I think players living together in club houses helps, it builds up good moral as many of the London lads would come from a large area of the Capital which can take two hours to travel across.
