I very much doubt there are available coaches if Brown does a no show, should imagine Oz players and coaches will dry up in a couple of years. Would like Long + Cunningham be coaching this club in the future years.

If Brown is a no-show I would prefer to look elsewhere rather than continue with Rush. If the new coach thinks he can work with Cunningham - fine. But I'm not sure Rush has what it takes to build a champion team. I also have concerns about his personality and issues some of our youngsters have with it.

Dear God, no - not Rush as a permanent appointment... Anything, literally [iANYTHING[/i but that... We'd probably end up with Lomax and Hohaia hardly able to even hold a rugby ball this time next year with another season of him coaching them...

tonight showed why he tried to sign brett hodgson.... we had to give him a 2 year contract to keep brown's mucky paws off him.

Why do you think Oz coaches will dry up?

There are still the same amount of coaching appointments in Oz, and we have only eve3r been able to attract young coaches who are looking to further their career, or past it coaches, whose careers have pretty much fizzled out down under. This won't change due to the mega wonga on offer, if anything, it may attract more coaches to chance their arm to win the great pay day lottery. Armageddon isn'there, just yet.

I was talking to KC at brook today, he was with ex poster off here st pete.

KC said we didn't use the possession we had in the first half, a few refs calls didnt go our way and the defence wasn't good enough.

He said Brown will be here back end of the month/early November and that the players are in for big shock as he's ruthless.

He also said that jammer is back soon as he's coming over for a holiday and that he will be doing a Q&A at Langtree park end of October.

I'm still wondering why Pete doesnt post anymore, by far one of the better posters on this forum. Hopefully Brown will have a positive impact on the squad and work with Gaskell and Lomax as a proper partnership as I can't see us bringing in a quality halfback now.

I think that holiday might be a couple of months longer than he had been planning given this weekend's events...
