Am I?
Wilkin gave away a lot of penalties. We had awesome defence. Cunningham didn't breach our tryline. Eastmond wasn't allowed to run the show. You had players commit professional fouls who didn't get sin-binned, we had Roberts in the bin.
What, then, EXACTLY, was inaccurate about my post?
About the same as what your team will hopefully win this season. About the same as your knowledge of the game, it seems. About the same as what your opinion counts for.
ABSOLUTELY SOD ALL.

He was one of many in my team who did that.

As did we. You might have noticed that we both scored the same number of tries. Or perhaps that has passed you by?
Quote: Fishsta "Eastmond wasn't allowed to run the show. '"
That had nothing to do with Wigan. He's been like that a few times this season. He's learning his trade and he didn't have a good stand off beside him.
Quote: Fishsta "You had players commit professional fouls who didn't get sin-binned, we had Roberts in the bin.'"
Allegedly one Saints player committed a professional foul, but I have yet to see it or hear anything on the Sky re-run about it.

| That's almost better. You actually argued with me instead of claiming I'm wrong when I'm clearly not.
However, you still didn't point out what was inaccurate about my post. In fact, you now AGREE with my post. Talk about a backtrack.
Quote: SaintsFan "He was one of many in my team who did that.'"
Right, we agree then.
Quote: SaintsFan "As did we. You might have noticed that we both scored the same number of tries. Or perhaps that has passed you by?'"
Yeah, I noticed you managed to do that when we were down to 12, and they were at a push!
Quote: SaintsFan "That had nothing to do with Wigan. He's been like that a few times this season. He's learning his trade and he didn't have a good stand off beside him.'"
Ah, the aforementioned Wilkin.
Quote: SaintsFan "Allegedly one Saints player committed a professional foul, but I have yet to see it or hear anything on the Sky re-run about it.'"
And your opinion on the numerous high tackles made by yourselves? Should they go unpunished as they did?
Quote: SaintsFan "Ditto, petal.'"
ROFL.

I say "Wilkin gave away a lot of penalties." You confirm this when you say "He was one of many in my team who did that."
"We had awesome defence." You say, "As did we." This confirms you agree, our defence was awesome.
"Cunningham didn't breach our tryline." Wisely, you didn't try to dispute that one.
"Eastmond wasn't allowed to run the show." You claim this had "nothing to do with Wigan." Was it not Wigan he was playing against? Was he actually playing Warrington? Or Salford? No? In that case, it had everything to do with Wigan. If he'd scored, would that have had anything to do with Wigan?
"You had players commit professional fouls who didn't get sin-binned, we had Roberts in the bin." Your retort: "Allegedly one Saints player committed a professional foul, but I have yet to see it or hear anything on the Sky re-run about it." This is discussed earlier in the thread, so you can just read that.
Basically, when you claim "bollox", as you so eloquently put it, which is taken to mean, "not true, rubbish, balderdash, lies", what you actually meant to say was, "I agree." because that is all you've done, with the exception of the last point.

| Let's draw a line under this $hite debate that's getting pretty boring now!
Wigan won and saints lost. Nothing between the two teams. Wigan took there chances, we never.
Wigan are top of the league and 4 points above us.
The is still long way to go yet. Done!!!

Indeed there is.
Thing is, though, in the Super League era, normally Saints would have put a lot more points past us when we were down to 12.
That gives me a lot of confidence in our defence for the rest of the season.

| Fishta, what will you do next season when Cunningham is retired? Ive never known anyone to be as obsessed over one player as you are over him? Did your mum cheat on your dad with him? Did he kick your cat? Does your girlfriend scream his name during sexor?

I'm not going to get caught up in your heated debate on here but I've read your posts and you are the biggest cock on here!
Fair enough old rouges can talk crap at time but you take the pi$$, anyone would think you'd won a few games and are getting a little giddy.
Now do us all a favour, fook off to another forum and make trouble on there. Thank you

| I have watched the game again very carefully and it is clear that Saints held on just as long as Wigan in the tackle or put another way Wigan don't hold on any longer. Which makes sense really because if Wigan were holding down too long they would be penalised and if Saints were not holding down long enough then fool them. It is the whole technique that Wigan employ which gives them a slight advantage i.e. 3 men in the tackle keeping the man moving until the tackle is complete with usually the man on his back pointing the wrong way. The time advantage, which allows the Wigan defensive line time to reset, is the added delay in completing the tackle and not from time lying on. The tacklers peel off at the right time so as not to infringe. An additional split second is gained because the attacker has to regain his feet and turn round. People who suggest that Wigan are lying on too long are missing the point by a mile.
Also they are missing the point by a mile if they think that Wigan's control of the ruck area is THE reason for their early season form. Wigan are paying attention to ALL areas of the game perhaps with the exception of field kicks which have room for improvement. If you win all the small battles then you increase your chances of winning the war.
Focus on Wigan's defence is also missing the fact that Wigan's attack is far better than previous years again through better technique and running lines. Robby Paul even referred to it as sexy rugby! None of this is down to luck. It is clearly down to good coaching coupled with good execution from the players. Surely that is what RL is all about.

Are you kidding me? First someone says I've posted "bollox" then proceeds to verify everything I said, then I AGREE with your post, and in return get called a "cock" and told to "fook off".
Can we have someone vaguely intelligent from the Saints contingent join this discussion please?

| This kind of complaint really baffles me. Do people really not sit back and wonder why Australian backs seem tob be so much better than the back we produce in Super League? It's because the backs in NRL actually have to work to score tries. The play the ball in NRL is a hell of a lot slower so teams in Oz face a set defensive line every tackle.
Personally I would much rather see teams unlock a set defense with a slick back-line move as opposed to a fat hooker stealing cheap yards and getting a roll off a quick ruck

You see, this is why I say you talk bollox. Where Saints players are concerned, you have no idea. I wouldn't expect you to as you support Wigan. So you really are better not saying anything because you do look the biggest pratt in town when you talk about something of which you know nothing.
If you feel better because I agreed about something which was a fact - that Saints players gave away lots of penalties (I have said quite clearly that they were without composure all game) then you go and feel better. I think it really is pathetic that you get a buzz from stating the obvious, but never mind. You are one obsessed individual anyway.
And why you singled Cunningham out as not getting over the line I don't know. Did you all have a special celebration because he didn't score? He hasn't scored in other matches either, so what? I think you have a secret love for Cunningham, which is why you are so totally obsessed with him. Only someone deeply attracted but embarrassed by that could make such a fool of themselves over one man as you do over the King!

It is though, everything else comes from the control of the ruck area. Whilst I agree that their attacking is much improved, it would be far less effective if they weren't controlling teams as well in defence.
