Kyle's current contract is certainly not small fry - he's alleged to have wanted Longy's deal to sign the 2 year extension a season ago. He's not a low earner - we'll have the space to bring in a top replacement, the problem is who is available to recruit?

You definitely can. We could deregister him, pay him in full and still have the room on the cap.

As you say its about who is available. There has been talk about Luke Gale at Quins. If we receive compo from Bath it would be enough you'd expect to get a young player like that on board. Or we could wait until an NRL player falls out of favour or disgraces himself. It always happens mid season.

I cant see us getting much compo for him if he goes now....its a buyers market, Bath can just sit tight for 6 months and get him for free, and I am sure that Saints (Royce in particular) will be keen to get any disruptive influences out of the club as soon as possible.

Put him in the reserves. He's had one chance too many of blackmail and is a total disruption to the team. Before you ask I feel the same about Jammer in some ways, but he is not blackmailing us and is not direspecting the fans.
