Or even better, this year!

| Surely this is a rumours thread. As for the rumours about looking for property I would doubt that as I know that the last time he was here, he stayed in a house provided by Saints, as did Potter in the same house.

Daniel himself confirmed the Exiles appointment on Australian radio today.

| In response to a question on Twitter last night, Leon Pryce said that Daniel Anderson is far and away the best coach he has ever worked with - mainly because he ensured the defence was spot on as his priority.

Yes, I read that with interest. He also (somewhat apologetically) admitted to having had every intention of sparking out Jamie Lyon with that high shot at Odsal in 2005.

| Anderson won trophys with possible the best Saints squad, ever. Whether he could reproduce it with our current squad, I am unsure. Am not saying he can't, but I certainly don't think he would be the nailed on guarantee of success that some people are expecting.

I had criticisms of DA. I don't think he was the messiah other people do, but he was good. Defence was tough and he really improved Sean Long's half back game.
He did rely on getting a roll on and quick PTBs, much like other coaches from the Brian Smith stable. That sort of tactic has been proved rather limited in the past couple of years.

If we are going for a new coach, I'd prefer to wait till the end of the season when there should be a wider list of candidates, and not go for DA simply because he is out of a job and available now.

I think he'd be great appointment for now, he'd certainly get that defence organised and he demands respect.
