| Always remember him creating spaces by running sidewards or backwards, the opposition would go running after him then Len would see a gap and off he went.

| I was too young for '66 but I remember watching it on 100 Great Sporting Moments once with my dad. I couldn't believe he was banging them over from in our own half. All the best Len wherever you are. You've made thousands of Saints fans happy over the years and we're proud that you were able to do it here.
Saint even after we die!

| Great goal kicker.
I was there at Wembley in '66 as a fifteen year old.
Len starred in that game - fond memories.
RIP

| Just heard about the death of one of my own favourite rugby league players, the superb Len Killeen. It was always a pleasure and a privilige to watch him play when he came to Wakefield and I well remember his superb contribution to your 1966 Wembley victory over your arch rivals. He wil be hugely missed by anyone who saw him, or knew him, I'm sure.

| A truly great player who, because I'm a Wires fan, ruined many a Saturday afternoon for me in the 1960's.

| Quote: Ovavoo "If you remember him ripping Wigan apart, then there's something mightily wrong with your memory. It's remembered as the cheats final, when the original all time great rat boy himself, Alex Murphy, blatantly cheated his way through the game and a valiant Wigan succumbed to the boot of Mr Kileen. The person to rip Wigan apart was Bill Sayer, the hooker, when hookers hooked. Having said that Len Kileen was a good player and a top all round bloke.
RIP'"
How did Murphy cheat? Wigan went to wembley without a hooker, and Alex just kept going offside and a scrum being awarded to wigan, in the rules! but Bill Sayer just kept winning the ball against the head.If you go into a match without a specialist hooker then it is your own fault.Murphy wasn't going to give you the ball on a plate! Why do you think we bought Sayer from, he was a very specialist Hooker.
You need to be careful with your accusations

Technically Murphy, by intentionally standing offside, could have been penalised each time he did it but he wasn't and as a result the game as a spectacle was marred. So yes it was cheating and lead to the rules being changed.
