Ergo, I miss the best Saints Wigan game for years. I miss the first Saints Wigan game since I was 6.
B*stards! Complete and utter b*stards!'"
I missed one for the first time in a long time but I have to admit it was worth missing to see that result!

| Saddened! steps off the plane and the mood tangibly lifts. Sits in bar and watches a classic unfold.
Just utterly sensational entertainment tonight and a superb, spirited performance. I had doubts if we had the mental fortitude to stand up to something like that, but that settles it.
Wellens - Sensational, back to his best. Compare that to the level of his performance over the last 2 years. Where has it been? Best in SL by a country mile when he plays like that. Inspirational.
Francis Meli - One of the tries of the season. If Greg Inglis or Billy Slater scored that try it would be immediately ushered into immortality. Incredible showing from the big man today.
Jamie Foster - Bombed a try and escaped a nightmare moment when the ref ignored his stray feet. But from there he was sensational. His defending was perfection and his catching of the high ball late on was that of a man with titanium testicles. My legs were jelly.
The entire pack - Handled the bully boy tactics well. We would have won more comfortably had the ref penalised some of the, at times ridiculous, messing about, but the pack weren't backing down. St helens hospital should book 6 or 7 spaces for blood transfusions tonight as there are several Saints forwards with water in their veins tonight. Unbelivable effort all round.
Leon Pryce - Turns invisible under pressure? LOL! Superb today me thinks. Inspired the lead that lead to the win with his 40:20 and try, then settled the game with the booming hit on Bailey late on. Best 6 in SL.

| WOW what a fantastic game. The last few minutes seemed never ending!!
Proof if needed that Rugby League is a lot more entertaining than anything you will see at the world cup!

| You have got to give credit to both teams,ok there were some dodgy decisions but for me that gives the game more entertainment and it was absolutely fantastic, well done Saints.

| As a Wigan fan I'm obviously gutted, but as a rugby league fan I'm honoured that I was there to witness such an epic game, well done to both teams. Saints probably just about edged it which the result shows.
Come on World Cup, give us something better than that, I bet you can't!

I couldn't tell after the replays whether he had grounded the ball or not but i mean for the effort he gave and the awareness to actually go round, into touch and score the try was sensational and was well deserved.
overall i think saints deserved to win more; took their chances.
we looked liked we'd all rubbed hands in a tub of vaseline before they came out.
an absolutly fantastic derby game imo, played with alot of passion and heart

| Gutted to lose but fair play to Saints tonight. I thought you soaked up alot of pressure very well and were calm when chances came your way.
The moment of the game for me was Foster taking that bomb in the corner with a minute left. I actually turned to my mate at the game and said 'fair play to that lad' because it was a huge play and it could be a play that really kicks his confidence on. I was pretty impressed with him tonight.

| Fantastic game..
foster holding those balls at the end was superb, had a decent game covering pryce, could've cost us dearly with the kick to touch (or not) and not taking gidley's pass, so was made up for him to have such a vital role..
a few things we still need to work on, no doubt, but we've had two games on the row where defeats where expected, and we've won both..
thought potter worked the bench well, ensuring that puletua, kez and jammer all came back on with 30 minutes to go, so could play till the end..
can't wait for wilki, eastmond and fas to return either

| First what a great game for neutrals!
and its great to see Wigan fans on here congratulating us thanks
How good was paul wellens! Best full back in SL
and what i thought was great was at the end after a match like that, the teams were talking to each other laughing and its great sportsmanship!

| Brilliant game from two very committed teams, well done on the win.
While I'm here, save me starting a new thread, where are Saints playing their games next season till the new stadium is ready?
