If true then I'm afraid Eastmond's career is fatally compromised. If he were to return after a period of suspension the flak he'll take will be a million times worse.

The kid PROMISED to knuckle down and give 100% to the club and, most importantly, his team mates. If he can't remain professional for more than two matches the trust of all parties will be irrevocably shattered. Unrest would grow like a cancer and eat away at the club from the inside.

It's a tough decision and we're going to suffer terribly because of it. But the alternative would be much worse.

Whilst Eastmond is attracting a lot of criticism I can't help but think that the club is complicit in this debacle. Regardless of Kyle's immature and ill-advised actions Saints could and should have handled this issue - which they've known was in the pipeline ever since he chose only to sign a two-year extension - in a far more proactive way.

I agree mugwump, the whole eastmond, Pryce and jammer saga should have been done and dusted before pre season started.

The club must take some of the blame in derailing the start to the season.

I firmly believe if Saints thought there was a way to fit Dobson in to their squad for this season from today they would try their upmost to get him, at the end of the day HKA are the competition and they owe them nothing.

Never thought I'd say this but I actually feel genuinely sorry for Saints fans. This whole saga has been damaging to RL, not just the Saints club and the sooner it is brought to an end the better.

I have to say though that I hope you don't sign Dobson. It's not just that he's a class player and would do a great job for you, he's a Wigan legend for saving us from relegation and it would be just wrong to see him in the RedVee...

Refrring to what Mugwump has said, in some respects I think this season is nearly over for Saints, despite us only being 5 games in - and yes I know I'm being defeatist here and making Saddened look postively positive but I really can't see us recovering and getting back on the horse so to speak. Top 8 finish will do with one or 2 play off games to swell the coffers

I think the dobson thing is a red herring. He is deregistered not out of contract. Hull KR can't play him, but they are still paying him.
