The rules do not allow players to play in both age groups as it is to ensure clubs have sufficent players to field two teams

Also just to correct who actually called off the Under 20 game it was Wigan as they had 4 players on Under 18 Academy duty that weekend on the 12th June
So that weekend neither their 20 or 18 played (Scource Wigan staff)

That weekend Wigan had seven players in the International U18's side in France.

Surely you would have more chance of fielding two teams (allowing for injuries) if U18 players could play in both comps over the weekend, although I don't believe it should happen. It was my understanding that the reason is not to burn out players.

There must be some Irish Australians knocking about in the junior competitions in the NRL you could import? Or some Samoan Cockneys you could steal from the club that developed them?

Hes a quality player and has totally flown under the radar. His sidestep and swerve is fantastic.

Nathan Ashes defence is woefull and from what i hear he doesent like the game of rugby league and he doesent like the UK. His mum works for a bank but soon as the job finishes they plan to head back home.

Andre Savelio is a absolute monster of a lad and is our U15 captain. He's been appointed our U16's captain for next year aswell.

If you can go back to the U18's game at Orrell (Wigan v Saints) last year I commented about the Saints fullback making superb breaks but having no idea what to do with the ball. He made the wrong decisions time and time again.

I didn't know then who it was but found out later it was Ashe. I'm presuming he has a Rugby Union background hence his poor decision making due to lack of experience.
He did look a very good athlete, and a kid worth persevering with.
