| The one moment that proved to me that Eastmond is on his way was where he threw a sh*t pass out to Ade Gardner, Gardner maybe should have took it but knocked on, and Eastmond hurled a load of abuse at him.
You dont do that. Fair enough have a word, tell him to switch on a bit, but the tyrade that Eastmond did was disgusting, to his own team mate.
If anyone has played or plays rugby, you know its about going to the lad who made the mistake, pat on the back, head up, "make up for it mate" and the team does that bit of hard work for the lad who c*cked up.
What Eastmond did was bad, and the sooner you lads get shut of him the better.
Arrogant and too big for his very small boots.

Perhaps but there was four players there all in a line stood still like lamposts and Eastmond played a perfectly good pass for one of them to run on to and they all stood there till it bumbled to Gardner. Eastmond was quite right to get angry but yes I agree there are other ways in which you can address mistakes with team mates.
Whatever the case, if Eastmond's decision was in the balance (and without concrete information saying otherwise) the behaviour of too many of our supporters has done nothing other than influence his decision in a negative manner towards Saints. As long as the decision is in the balance we should be supporting the kid. Terrible form from our fans to assume he's gone already and to place so much responsibility for the loss on his shoulders when he was hardly the worst player on our side is incredibly disappointing. I'm embarrassed at the reaction.

| the sooner Kyle goes the better for you guys, give the no 7 jersey to someone who actually wants to play for the club. His mind is clearly elsewhere and although your pack was dominated by a more aggressive Wire pack he didnt seem to want to try and break the line, dart at the gaps around the forwards, using the explosiveness that made him a household name. we had the same thing with Ashton. i remember being at belle vue when Richard Moore went 60 yards and Ashton bottled the one on one tackle. No heart. if he wanted to go he should have gone at the end of last season, not announce hes leaving three games into the new season. I would personally want rid before his contract expires rather than leaving on a free at the end of the year but i not too clued up on who you guys having coming through the ranks that would seize the opportunity !!!!

I don't think the fans were putting responsibility on his shoulders because everyone around me anyway were acknowledging that Saints were poor across the board pretty much. What I heard fans complaining about was that he didn't get involved. He passed twice for two tries and that was good but for most of the game all he did was pass. That isn't what he was doing last season and while he will still be building his confidence after his absence, he was even less involved last night than against Salford.
Kyle shouldn't have allowed/encouraged his agent to go to the press in the first place. By doing that he brought the whole thing into the public realm and made it a big discussion point. He should have learned from last season when he tried the same tactic. While the booing was embarrassing, I can appreciate why some fans felt the need to express themselves. We waited a long time for him to come back from his injuries and he spends most of the game just passing the ball out. He should have at least attempted to save our bacon - just a well placed chip kick over the line at the right moment might have made a huge difference!

Agree with that. I can forgive bad performances, but I can't forgive lack of effort.

| We all know Eastmond has the talent. I remember being at Knowsley Rd in the P'g down rain watching him rip us to bits.
For me it was plainly obvious he was playing like he didn't want to risk getting hurt. He's off to the dark side !

| the whole eastmond saga has been handled terribly by all involved. i can understand the frustration of the supporters towards eastmond. the club and the supporters have an unwritten contract that does not appear to have been honoured, if it transpires that the lack of information regarding the deal and this state of limbo for the past few weeks has been down to either eastmond or st helens trying to wring out every last penny out of a deal from bath, do you feel that the supporters are being let down by both player and club?

Saints are pretty much powerless in the bosman age .. if a RU club doesnt want to pay a fee or take him now (for free) we are forced to pay him and anything we do pay will count on the cap (which I guess is the big handicap). Eastmond can sit back and keep picking up his paycheck till his contract runs down ... for me if that was the case he'd be training with the u18's and he wouldnt play another game for saints at any level

| thanks no 1 saint
i feel that by keeping the supporters in the dark for this prolonged period is damaging to the relationship between the guys who pay their money to support the team and the guys who collect that money. i agree that it could well effect the team having eastmond continue to play with the bath move hanging over his head and also damage the club by having to pay his salary. the whole situation just seems a huge muddle with the loyal supporters being the ones short changed either way it pans out. rugby union clubs were aware at the beginning of last season that eastmond was considering a move the deal should have been forced through pre season so this charade would not have to have been played out
