Although Bateman is primarily a second row, he played at centre which he has done already a few times during the season.

Moon 66 meters, 12 tackles, 5 tackle busts.
Joel Tomkins 101 metres, 36 tackles,
Neither of the players mentioned went missing.
You should write to the RFL; they will override the score and present Wigan with the trophy.

When you pick second rowers in the centres like Wigan with Gelling and Bateman, they should be making lots of metres.
I see you missed off the "tries scored" stat where the proper centre came out best and helped his team to a trophy?
Bateman certainly didn't go missing though, thought he and Farrell were excellent if you ignore Farrell's usual wane endorsed small man syndrome reaction to Leeds tries (kicking balls at players, late shots on the try scorer etc)

I sometimes wonder if deep deep under the DW Stadium in the top secret pie research labs if they've been injecting Farrell with DNA extracted from Mick Cassidy. Obviously it's got contaminated with crumbs from a greggs pastie but Farrell does remind me of him.

Yes it was there for all to witness. The Mass Wigan Walk.
I first thought there had need a fire alarm go off in that stand.
Well done to the 25% of them who stayed to the bitter end.
