| With us having a week off we could be heading into unchartered territory with the chances of Wheels making it 3 on the bounce.

Our conditioning team don,t have a good track record of getting players up and running after injury though. Percival had a dead leg which lasted around 3 to 4 weeks so if we add the "Wheeler Factor" it could be 6 weeks.
Hope he's not standing up all day in the burger van.

You're assuming there that their ongoing absence was due to injury rather than selection. Tinkerman could simply be hiding his tinkering ways behind injury.

Why the hell would he do that ?
He openly said he dropped lance for the Leeds away game and we've had Turner, Dawson and jones injured so why would he not pick Percy?

We all thought Jones and Percival were still injured until last week it leaked that they had played for Rochdale. So they were available to play last week but didn't play. So you tell me, why did he not pick Percy?

Probably same reason why many of our players have played for them. To give them a run out and gain some match fitness.

How many of our players have played for Rochdale this season?
Did Amor play for them before he came back from his injury?
Did Walsh play for them before he came back from his injury?
Surely they would have needed to gain match fitness too?

He's a young lad and should be looked after. He came back and played at Leeds so obviously rates him, he's just give him a new deal at the club so other than him not being fit or discipline reasons I can't see why he'd say he's injured if not.
Just like Wigan are sending England international and super leagues leading try scorer last season out to Workington.

I didn't say he was [inever[/i injured (although that of course is a possibility as I don't remember him leaving the field injured). I simply suggested that the reason behind him remaining out of the team was not necessarily injury, and indeed the fact that he and Jones (who has otherwise been a shoo-in for a spot) both played at Rochdale last week more than suggests his continued absence was not injury related. Jones wouldn't need a refresher at Rochdale as he had only missed one game and he missed that because RFL rules require him to miss a week following signs of concussion.
Everyone knows that Brown tinkers with the team. The club will also know that this frustrates the fans, because I know for a fact that the club does keep its ear to the ground in this regard. By simply not commenting on what may have originally been a genuine injury, it is easy for Brown to tinker as he always wants to and the fans to be none the wiser.
That's me speculating though, just as you are.
As for Percival being a 'young lad', he is older than Thompson, who has played a few games in succession now.

Those are seasoned professionals, Percival is not. My Barrow mates who I work with said Percival had a quiet game didn't look mobile and had heavy strapping on his leg so maybe Brown just gave him a run out to see if there is any injury reaction. Must have been a bad injury to be out so long, I suppose a "dead leg" recovery time is unpredictable.

What difference does that make? Surely the nature of the injury is what determines whether someone needs drip feeding back into the team? He's still playing against fully fledged adults in Championship 1 even if the pace is slower. And that doesn't explain Jones playing for Rochdale. He's had more experience than Percival.

Id suggest the difference is Walsh and Amor are major, major players for us and even if half fit/off the pace then they're better off in the starting line up.

Because not everything is "Black and White", experienced pro's know how to handle there bodies and play with an injury to get through a superleague game............Percival has NO EXPERIENCE at all to do that at this level. We may also have a similar Scenario with Sav.
