I saw it from the East stand and my view was that a groggy Wellens on all fours lurched into McIlorum at the last moment, striking Micky's thigh with his head. As nothing was said by Wellens at the time, I viewed it as just an accident. I'm sure the disciplinary will too.

It is more than likely that no one at all from Saints saw it and that Wellens doesn't know what went on either. Unless someone from Sky or someone with a camera phone brought evidence forward, it was always likely to go unpunished.

Having not seen it, I can't comment on how furious I am that he has escaped punishment. But I would be. Very.
