Every club does need this type of player but he's to quite for me.

What else would you like him to do?

I think he could put himself about more in defence. At times I forget he's on the fieid but when he does get involved he makes good meters.

I just feel if he got more involved, put himself about more that he could possibly push for a England shirt.

Quote: Offside Monkey "
Wello, the real talking point. Playing better now that he was a couple of years ago and making the most of what he's got, but our attack as a whole is predicatable and having a pedestrian #1 (alongside a disfunctional half back pairing) is a massive reason for that.
We are a club that, 5 years ago, was winning trophies. Now we're not.
We need to improve, and just because players contribute, doesn't mean they can't be improved upon.
There was a couple of games last year around August when wello was injured and Eastmond played #1. The difference in attacking threat was marked, the threat out wide, the knowledge that a "nothing" kick or a bad chase, the ability to create something out of very little.
Now, the younsters we've got, whether it be Swift, Ashe, Makinson or even Gaskell may not have the raw attributes of Eastmond, but they do have ability and, given a decent chance running in a decent attacking system could help make our team as a whole a lot more challenging to defend against.'"

No no no how dare you knock the sloth! Do you not realise he's scored tries this season so should be allowed to play 1 for us for until he collapses from old age.

What you say is exactly the way I see it. We could carry an attacking dead end at fullback if we had halves who were ripping it up but sadly we don't. I think Makinson would go well at 1 and from what I've seen Swift looks a natural

I think lance hohaia should be fullback next year, he's a experinced works cup winning fullback.

He's got pace to burn and given the space fullbacks get on kick returns I think we'd see him clear his line very well. His covering defence thus season shows he's good enough in defence.

He'd also score tries if we got him outwide joining the line as he's fast with a low centre of gravity.

Unfortunately he can be suspect on the high kicks but so as makinson in recent weeks.

I think Clough gets the flack, for the lack of other props. Clough is the workhorse type prop, minimal offloads but will keep going forwards all match. Those on top dollar are the ones who should be able to give us that bit extra, but at the moment we are just happy to see them going forwards, because they were not even doing that earlier in the season.

The game TP had against Wigan is they kind of game the rest of the props should have been giving us all year for the money they are on. In the world of the cap you have those players on the big money to provide the extra special stuff and then the rest are the ones who are dependable and small on errors.

However our top dollar players have not been producing the form we expected and so we look to others who don't have the same ability to try and fill that gap. Some of it is down to the players, other is down to players playing in the wrong position.

ie Lance, La Franki

Do you want him to sing? Do you want him to dance?

That's like saying you wouldn't sign Tomkins as all he does is score tries.

Reckon it will be Swift given more game time at full back. Just like all the other younger players he needs to know how to read the game, it's a fine balance getting inexperienced players in their potential position without having a negative effect on the game result.

No I don't want him to sing or dance you idiot, it's rugby league and not x factor.

I expect him to put himself about a little more, that's all said!

Christ, you'd think I'm saying he's rubbish with your silly post, I've even saud if he upped his game that he could grab a England shirt.

On the flip side, I'd have kept emmitt before clough.

How do you know this?

Not doubting what you say, just curious as to your sources.
