| Lomax is without doubt the best option we have for FB starting next season. He is one of the quickest players we have (cant be judged on recieving the ball 3 metres and jinking away from defenders as he doesnt have spaceto run into )
But like I say lets start that next season before throwing him to the sharks if he f***s up in what are now crucial 80 minutes.

| Lomax is not a full back.
How many jeffing times! What a waste of talent it would be sticking him back there.

At the recent forum Cunningham said they wernt yet certain where Lomax's best position was and when asked to speculate he said he thought maybe fullback

Alot of wigan fans said that about tomkins, not so many say it now. Lomax would be very dangerous at fullback, but personally i do prefer him in the halves and have Makinson try out at FB sometime, when Lance's knees collapse for instance

What a strange statement!
Are you suggesting full-back is for less talented players? I should think a certain Tomkins would disagree and most of the NRL. Lomax's skills seem to match this position exactly to me.

| Pryce and Wheeler out according to Redvee. If so, does Eastmond come in at 6 if he's fit?

| Forgot about Gaskell. Obviously he gets first crack at 6 if they are both out.

| There's been pressure on him all year and he's handled it. Will benefit from his kicking game if he plays.

He looked fresh against Salford. I've no worries about him stepping up to Wigan, although he has struggled marking carmont in the past.

Don't tell me Wheeler is injured again? He didn't look injured at the end of the Quins game.

I agree with some other posters on this, I'm really not sure where you're coming from.
Lomax is a very good talent, but I'm not convinced he has the passing, organising or kicking game to be a top half back. He seems to be more of an elusive runner with a good step and a decent passing game. He's got safe hands and played alot of reserve rugby at full back, so I believe that is his best position.
I also disagree that it'd be a waste putting him back there as the full back spot is so pivotal particularly offensively.
