| fans talking of us selling 10k season tickets are i think dreaming in la la land sadly.
If you look at RL as a whole, Wigan who have by far the largest support base, can only just crack 10k season ticket holders.
Bradford managed it by basically giving tickets away free.
The other clubs with bigger support that Saints Hull and Leeds usually get around 9k season ticket holders. Both are major cities.
Warrington have around 6k season ticket holders.
I therefore think realistically 7k is a more achievable scenario. 8k would be quite frankly amazing.
IF you look at season ticket sales, they are probably starting to slow down now as the initial rush will have passed.
In the last week for example the number of seats available for sale in the North stand only reduced by 6.

I think you have to factor in the new stadium. There are tons of people I know who never went to KR because it was such an utter dive. If they can get the floating vote back they should do well. The representative I spoke to at the forum says the club is aiming to have no fewer than 10,000 Saints fans at every single home league game. They need to really, really push the season tickets. Obviously they can't reduce the prices now, but what they could do is sell community tickets, branding them differently. For example junior rugby getting 20 tickets for £1000.
They cannot just sit back with your attitude of 8k being fine. Given how weak we're looking squad wise, we're not likely to be creating much of a positive vibe on the field, so they need to get the sales in early. If they can get 5,000 to buy season tickets for Widnes, doubling that shouldn't be impossible. I do think the prices were a mistake. Why not make the first season a big bang, sell the tickets for less than usual. Get people going and then increase them slowly.

18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.

Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
I think the prices are more than reasonable. Also with the direct debit scheme they will be affordable to most people who have a desire to go.

Two or three seasons ago maybe but the club has recently made a media release linked to the stadium extension stating season tickets sales are 3,000 up from three years ago.
Plus with not having an attendance under 10,000 there is no way that the minimum walk-up during a season is going to be 4,000.
I'd expect Saints to average 14,000 to 15,000 next season on the back of probably three sell-outs (first game, Wigan and Warrington) with a slight drop-off the following season as the novelty factor falls away. After that to maintain attendances success will be required.

| I'd agree with that. Wire actually have over 8000 season ticket holders. Saints should be able to match that at least. I would expect the first game (at a guess against Widnes) to be a sellout, as will Wigan and Wire, with Leeds and Hull also bringing in good crowds. I would be amazed if you got a single crowd under 10,000 next year. Great for Saints, great for RL.

| To be fair, I think the season tickets have been great value.
We went to buy 2 adult tickets, worked out at £202 each, but ended up getting a family ticket with 2 adults and a child for £394.
Bargain for the 3 of us to go!

Good to read that we have already surpassed last years figures in two weeks sales including lots of renewals (obv including the 5 year deals).
I hope they manage to shift all the corporate seating and both sides are well filled

That's good news just hope the trend continues. There is still a few weeks yet for renewals so after that we should get some idea on sales figures.

Seeing as our semi final allocation was significantly less than the number of season ticket holders I would suspect we have more than that. Given that our lowest Widnes SL attendance was 6,050 I would imagine we have very close to that as I don't believe we had 200 walk up fans against Harlequins let alone 2,000.

Well as expected the club now tell us there is nothing they can do about it and we have lost that seat. In fact they cannot offer us anything in that stand which is even half decent.
The woman in the shop after waiting nearly an hour said "oh yeah your the guy whose seat we sold, its a disgrace" then "there is nothing we can do, we can offer you slightly worse seats but in the south stand next to the suits".
We are now considering out position!
(please don't suggest emails - these are not replied to; or phone calls rang for over an hours yesterday before giving up and going to shop).
Eamonn, Tony are you listening?

How many seats in what area are you looking for? They will be able to provide you with a seat in most if not all blocks of the North Stand once the renewal deadline is past.

4 seats (they sold the third one along of these to some random stranger). We were in block E in the north stand either 7 or 11 rows up depending who you believe about numbering and whether there are three unmarked rows a pitchside.
They said for some reason they couldn't explain this seat wasn't entered properly into their computer system.
Its a good idea for you to suggest this, but we would be taking a big risk that someone decides not to take up their option on 4 peach seats. I don't think it will happen - there will be some odd scragg ends left.
If the seats they offfer us turn out to be sh*te and we have been lied to again, then I simply won't renew after next season and I'll get a seat at the HJ (that last bit is a joke obviously).
Think I might write to Tony directly.
