That is the best I have seen Saints play all season. Still one or two dumb passes by Meli, and Meli and Shenton need to up their defence as both were poor, TP didn't have his best game although a beautiful offload to Lomax for Moore's try, but other than that we were outstanding today. HKR didn't have an earthly. Totally outplayed. Best try of the match, though, must go to a Scott Moore/Tommy Makinson combo: Moore kicked a beautiful chip which Makinson caught cleanly and grounded. I'm not sure who was more surprised by Moore kicking like that, us or Moore!

Terrible turnout from Saints fans though but excellent turnout from HKR fans.

How shenton got mom over TP, jammer, roby, wilkin and lomax I'll never know.

Saints are coming together at just the right time and keeping Pryce fit would be a mega boost.

I would fancy you to push them close if keeping players fit.

i voted saints by more than 10, was looking for the more than 20 points option but couldn t find it.
it wont be a walk over, but will be a nice gentle work out for the lads and cant see anything but an easy win for us.

Excellent performance although ball control still needs to be better if we want to beat Wigan. Some very good rugby on show and good defence mostly. Makinson's tackle to keep Welham out was unbelievable, tackle of the season for me.

I knew it was the team as he's never got anything wrong he's told me yet. I'd be pretty shocked if he didn't know the team as he plays in it

I don't know people doubt St Pete's team news, I can vouch that it's concrete.

When I do the match thread I get the team off him before it's officially announced.

And before saintsfan starts moaning again that I'm giving out top secret info and team tactics by sending backrow saint the team, I always do it few hours before the kick off so it's not like the other team could use it and I doubt they read this forum for team selection.

Plus I only send it to backrow saint for his excellent msg h thread he does.

That was my thread, I left it as over 10 points as I did not want to seam to arrogant to the Hull KR lot , by adding lots of + 20, +30 etc for Saints. Also thought with it being a quarter final the game would have been tighter than 20 points.

How did people feel playing Wilkin at loose went?

It's the first time for a long time this season where we have played 2 props, rotated with 2 props, if you count megennis as a prop with LMS.

Will Royce stick with this if he gets a fit clough back and leave TP at prop.

Great. But he played there at the start of the season and looked great then. He should stay there. He looks great. (Oh, and he played very well too! )

I thought wilkin played well but wasnt involved as much as he's been in recent games, if that's down to the position change I dint know. I think wilkin has been the best British backrow in super league this season.

I thought it was strange we didn't use magennis or Kyle more than we did on such a very hot day. We never seem to use all the players on the bench as often as we should.

Just got back from the game. You were too good for us in all departments today. However have to say Kris Welham's chase and tackle of Meli was absolutely fantastic and made my afternoon bearable (just)
