If Soliola was to comeback, it'd be like a new signing just in time for the play-offs. Play the strongest side, as someone has said, it may be a risk, but it could also be a blessing to have fresh players back.

not a saints fan, but glad to hear that KC's carreer hasn't been finished by injury, never a good way to end such a successful carreer.

The risk with soliola might not be his match fitness but if he has another set back with his knee. Maybe giving it another few month and then a good pre-season would be best.

I'd throw maurie in if he's been given the all clear to play and he's fit enough, he's gone next year so if he does get injured it ain't our problem.

as has been said, play the strongest team.if those players who have been out for a while can play against cas i would give em all an 80 minute run out. if they all come through that then potter will have a nice dilemma for a change of an almost (except ashurst) fully fit squad to choose from for the first time this season(!!!?)

hopefully we can beat the pies at OT in the GF this year. we dont want to lose 4 on the trot.

get Sia and Maurie both playing in the 9's on Wednesday for a start. bit more like a high intensity and impact training session for them.



if they are both fully fit and able to contribute it makes total sense to play them against Castleford.

There will always be this doubt about Soliola's knees, if the physio/doctor and Soliola are both confident that he is ready, he should play. If not and he isn't fit enough to get back, he shouldn't, its that simple really.

If thats the case, why did we sign him? Or, are you saying that the doubts are as a result of the lost season he has had with us?
Don't get me wrong, it must be absolute misery for the poor guy who didn't come over here expecting to be injured. But has he got "history"?

I am saying that the doubts are a result of the lost season he had with us. Obviously Saint thought he was over his problems, and hes been unlucky to pick up the injury he has, which i think is the opposite to the knee that he has previous operations on, which is really unlucky.

He has had a history of knee injuries I seem to recall.

He missed a large amount of last year in the NRL with a knee injury.

If everybody got the all clear excluding Ashurst, How strong would our bench be? There would be some impact off the bench there!
Soliola would be best in second row were he could get subbed whereas you'd expect a Centre to play a full game!
If i hear some good news about pryce this week i will be looking forward to what could be some exciting weeks for saints
