| Kyle was poor on Saturday.
I was trying to decide whether it was lack of interest or lack of fitness. I'm tempted to go for the latter.
Lack of interest would have explained the first 65 minutes, but when we were well into the comeback, there were time when Kyle got the ball and Wigan were on the back foot - easy pickings for a player of Kyles pace and power, but he still chose to pass. Even if he wasn't that comitted, the circumstances would surely mean you'd give it a bash, wouldn't it?
Let's see what next week brings.

Well, if it was the former, he wouldn't have done things like that try-saving interception which he tracked to the line.
I don't understand the need to slate the lad after his first full match following what was serious injury. His surgeon advised only 30 minutes game time for the Huddersfield friendly and that was only just over a week ago. I am amazed that he managed the full 80 minutes considering he has had two operations and that all the signals coming from Saints were that he would likely miss the first couple of games.
Once he gets back up to speed we will see him take on the line more, kick with accuracy and pull off great passes. He was rusty on Saturday but the hit out will have done him good.

'" You're right, which is why I think it either a lack of fitness, or perhaps just confidence in his body. Two things are causing people to over react imo - a)We have high epectations of Kyle and b)people are over critical becuase of the talks of him leaving.

I think you're right. Lets remember, he has probably had minimal preseason practice to get things right and half back is the toughest position in a lot of regards. Getting through a derby match against the champions in one piece would be enough to boost my confidence if I were him.

Somebody call the chronicler of Super League because that's exactly right.

| Quote BrisbaneRhino="BrisbaneRhino"I'd hate to see a talented player go to Union. I hated it when Iestyn Harris, Walker and Lee Smith left Leeds. Thankfully for RL at least the last two were a failure and came back quickly.
Anyway, I hope he stays and kicks on. Even if he does stay, he has a lot to learn to become a great scrum half - kicking game, passing gamke and timing his runs. In his favour, unlike so many he has the raw materials to make it though.'"
Spot on. I said on here when Lee Smith came back to RL that I was glad, even though he always does well against us.
True about Eastmond also, he still has a lot to learn - will he be given the time and the support in Union?

| At risk of repeating myself (and others) Offiah isn't Kyles agent and hasn't been since his last contract negotiation.

Spot on.
I thought Kyle did a good job considering he's barely played in the last 8 or 9 months and there was the added pressure on him as he didn't have Leon Pryce alongside him. He'll get alot better in the coming weeks, especially when his future is sorted too, which is a bit distracting also.

I believe that he is being mentored by Ellery Hanley, but that too may just be a fairy tale

| Spoke to Eamon in 'The City Inn' on Sat in Cardiff, He said they'd offered as good a deal as possible to Kyle and was hoping he'd stay but the club can't match RU offers for any player
Got the feeling he knew Kyle was going but it was just a feeling, gave nothing away and he'd sunk a few by then!!
