Cunningham cannot be given the job. He's not got enough experience of leading and coaching and you have to worry a lot about the old boys club. He'd be coaching players he played with and is probably really good friends with and he'd have to make hard decisions about them.

Tell you what, although it's clearly not a long term move, it would be beneficial in the short term.
