Sorry, I know that is in very poor taste , but Gareth "Head Banger" Hock - how many games would he miss because of brain farts?

Yeah true....but what about Wello...??? In reality Hock hasn't shown a sustained run of good form for a few years and coupled with his tendency to get himself in trouble, often not even related with his playing aggression, and his age it would be foolish to take him on for the three or four games a season where he runs riot (against Leigh, Widnes, Wakefield and Salford).

And whomever said that a chairman should take on a player who'd likely help challenges for trophies as much as ruin the club, that philosophy has some merits (Sean Long). But if the said player only has one of those qualities (and not the good one) then surely it'd have to be a no.

I think Hock's ability is unquestionable, he's ripped us to shreds plenty of times. In terms of his on field activities he's exactly what we need to replace Sia and Manu (The decision to not give him a contract is annoying me more and more every day).

Is Hock still any good though? not seen a blockbusting performance from him in a while

I would take him. Would be a good signing and this would be his last chance at a big club if he were to sign for us. The pluses outweigh the negatives for me.

A shame if we don't get him. Not had a nasty bugger that gets in the oppo's face for a while now!
