| Looking forwards, we have a slightly easier run of games after the Leeds game and with the cushion of 3 points between us and those below. We should be able to hold 2nd for some time.
If we can put a good hit out on Leeds and knock them slightly then we are still good odds for finishing top.

| It would be great to take some points out of Leeds. But, frankly, I'm not bothered if they finish a dozen points ahead - as long as we are right up there in second spot.
Not a particularly great advert for the league structure. But it's the back end of the season that counts. A dozen point lead means nothing in the Grand Final.

| The one area of concern is our penalties conceded, we are the worse team in superleague with 91 compared to Leeds who are sitting pretty next to bottom conceding only 59.
So for Friday its completing our sets with Walsh/Burns turning the backs around on the kicks. But all this could be wasted if we give daft penalties away.

I don't think it's a co-incidence that Saints are haemorrhaging penalties whilst the organisational brains have often been missing.

How would burns, walsh and Wilkin prevent pens if they played. We are caught offside far to often and holding down to long with odd few high shots.
I don't see how having organisational players out would change this ?

I,m not sure about that, we had 3 organizers out there yesterday but managed to concede a whopping 13 penaties way above our average.
Our frustrating one alll through this season has been some good defence then giving a penalty away on the 5th tackle which gets them a kick and another 6 tackles about 10 metres from our own line. KC must know we can,t do this against top sides, it needs to be fixed amongst other technical fouls.

| Andre Savelio
Get yourself to McDonalds - he was unstoppable last year in his few cameo appearances. He must've lost 2 stone now , average gain only 5m

Not looked the same player and looks to be struggling.
This is the reason I didn't see him as ready to be in the 17 every week. People on here was picking him from the first game as a starter.
He's still recovering, he's still young and needs to managed well if we are to see him live up to his potential.

Sav looks like a forward who is used to bullying guys. I think too often he take straight on contact expecting/hoping to bulldoze through and he can't. He needs to hit edges of tackles rather hitting the brick wall.
It'll come.

| He looks like a player who is a year behind in his development. I'm undecided as to whether two or three months outside of the first team will do him greater harm than good. Physically he's fine. Whether he's a stone or two under weight is mitigated by the fact that he's STILL physically imposing as things stand. Looking at him and considering his unusual circumstances I think he desperately needs a serious injection of confidence. Two or three good games will do him more good than three weeks hammering the weights. I don't think Saints want to loan him out. And he's not likely to gain any greater comfort from a return to the juniors and a competition he already knows he has the better of.
I really don't see any other option than continuing to give him limited game time, especially as we currently have an abundance of size in the pack. Should we pick up a lot of injuries in the forwards perhaps it would be better to leave him out for a few weeks.

| And yet Andre Savelio still averages more metres per carry than Ben Flower did all last season, whom according to our dimwitted neighbours over the Lump, is one of the best props in the competition (cue laughter).
Savelio has just turned 20 years old. Greg Richards is still 19. The standards they are playing at, in a position like prop, is simply brilliant. How anyone can complain about either is ridiculous.

Flower's a great prop, excluding the time he decided to go full retard.
Sav and Richards are good young players, of course, but as you say, prop isn't a young mans game. I don't see the harm in looking out for another senior prop (something that we all said we needed in the offseason).

He can't go back to playing juniors now, he's too old.
